This is what a DDoS attack looks like.
This is what a DDoS attack looks like.

Hello everyone,

It has been a whirlwind of a week with all the new players, the attacks, and working on Co-Op. I want to thank everyone again for their patience as we investigated solutions and tried our best to make sure you guys remained in the skies. We hope we have found a solution, but if you are having any issues logging into the game please send an email to feedback@musegames.com

As always you can hear about our week and ask questions you like during the fireside chat at twitch.tv/gunsoficarus.

DDoS, The official statement from Muse and a free item.

Hello Everyone,

First things first, we want to explain what’s been happening. Starting on Saturday we began to be DDoS attacked by an unknown assailant. We are really saddened and disheartened, as this game and our players are our lives and everything that we’ve worked for. But we need to keep working. We have been working with our server provider over the weekend, but even now there appears to be residual effects from these attacks and some players are not having stable connections. We are still working with our service provider to get through this. And we promise our dedication to getting through this as soon as possible.

Secondly, let me thank you for sticking with us during this trying time. I know free time is a rare and precious commodity and the last thing you want is someone stopping you from having fun. It means the world to us that you want to enjoy the game and share our frustration with the attacks.

We are offering a free Morion Helmet to everyone who signs on while we’re dealing with this. A small token of apology for all the frustration. If you have already supported us and purchased the Morion Helmet, please email us at feedback@musegames.com and we’ll get you another free item.

In the meantime, if you have connection issues or anything else, please email us at feedback@musegames.com as well.

Thanks so much,

Come get your grump on
Come get your grump on

1.4.1 just released this week and we spent the entire week fixing it up and taking the last bits of player feedback, making sure they’re reflected in the game. This patch was huge adding in stamina, Game Grump voices (with proceeds being donated to Healing Horses and Palomacy), matchmaking updates, and the new underdog system.

Instead of listing what everyone did this week, which can be summarized with made sure this patch got out on time and now working on the inevitable little oddities. After the jump you’ll find the video for last week’s Dev Fireside chat.

If you’d like to join us live for Fireside this week, follow this link at 3 pm eastern. We’ll be talking new patch, development process, and what we’re working on next.

Also remember to keep sending in your lore ideas to lore@musegames.com and to sign up for the teaching tournament! Continue reading “Weekly Progress Report 5/1/2015”
