Goodbye.

:)
You never were a man of many words, but it was a pleasure to be your wing man in Catskyders, we kicked some butt in our time. :)

@Noir: Sorry if it seems sudden, a lot happened during your time away, in the community and life, it happens, I still have fond memories of learning with you Ok and Van on Vans squid, my earliest days, failing terribly but recognizing the patience you guys showed, was great fun!

@Lueosi:
Google translate did your speech little justice after I asked my brother in-law to translate, you're bringing a tear to my eye man..
I remember the fabled fights you spoke of! They're two of my fondest memories from the game!
I also want to take this opportunity to personally thank you, I know I mentioned it once or twice in the Ryder forums briefly but I want to expand on it..
In my earlier days, pre-lvl 45 you were the first person to suggest I consider going into competitive, and you gave me a lot of support, offering skrims and practices (even if the team I had often declined for fear of being a "Ryder punch bag" lol) and it was your encouragement that led me to fly alongside Ightrill in my first competitive event and then later to build my first team Trading Troops team with Mean Machine, your inspiration, your encouragement, which led me to Fynx, a great pilot, a great tactical mind and another good friend. You've been one of my close friends Lue, and I hope to keep it that way, even if I won't be piloting anymore, fingers crossed we will get the chance to meet and have a drink! :)

Thanks all, Jedi, I PMed you, will keep my reasons silent because I have made the Devs aware of why I'm leaving and it's less about things they can assist with.

Do not fear though comrades, I'll still be surfing the grid and kicking arse here and there. :)

Hey all,

As some of you may or may not have noticed (or cared, who cares.) It's been a while since I logged in, hell even when I did log in it was briefly for shorter periods of time than normal, and today I finally quit.

Yup, quit, I've emailed Muse stepping down as a teacher/CA entirely, given them my reasoning why. I've explained to my good friends in the dev team why I've uninstalled too, and now I come here to say farewell to the community.

Farewell.

If you wanted to keep in touch feel free to add me on steam (My name: [♫] Kamoba )

May you all have fair winds and clear skies.

That moment when a player who's normally good with words logs into the forum to write a farewell thread, and is lost for words.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Youtubers bootcamp?
« on: May 13, 2016, 08:33:04 am »
I had a YouTuber on my ship once... Who was playing with audio off...
A shame because if he had audio off he may have been useful...

But yes, YouTubers who get paid to advertise the game should meet criteria..

No more bullshit crap JonTron fuck ups, I can't believe they paid him and that video was what he produced.

YouTubers used to have to earn a living, now they're getting too big for their boots and being dicks about it...

Scrap Mechanic and Elder Scrolls Skyrim.. Does not matter if I have to go afk for whatever reason and am enjoying solo play without the drawbacks of people.
Pretty much hating people right now.

Damn I sound Emo...

*Throws Google docs work towards the tournament rules in the bin.*

Sure I've been busy lately to push this idea forward, but in future it would be nice to let me know if you would like to take over the organization and host it.

Either way gl hf with the tournament.

With all due respect, how would you possibly expect me to predict that you were in the process of working on something similar? The passive-aggressiveness of your post is not appreciated.

But thank you. We're hoping people will like it.

Because I asked your feedback on the idea fucking ages ago.
Redacted
This is not passive aggressive, this is aggressive based on lack of basic common courtesy, I spoke directly to you about this on Steam, and sure I got busy couldn't arrange it as soon as I would have liked, but you taking over the idea and then later claiming you knew nothing about it and digging at my passive aggressive nature because of this, for a moderator that's pretty crappy.

The Pit / Re: Answer above, Ask below

everything has to make sense because "because magic/steampunk/sciencefiction" can't be the answer to everything.  And because I'm apparently a scientist in the pit I have to find out the meaning of everything

what is the joke behind the 88mph?

We posted at the same time....

You don't know the reason for 88mph?!

Great Scott!!!

Why does everything have to make sense?

Sense making rated over is it, sense making without make would hard shit read to. we therefore obligated are sense make to.

Why are things that are un-common typically referred to as common? (IE. Common sense, common courtesy, etc etc.)

Let me preface this, I do not condone nor encourage trolling.

Do the opposite of what they tell you.
If they say shoot, repair, if they say repair, shoot or repair a gun.
Shoot the flare fun, camp the flare gun.

Follow then to the next lobby, decline loadouts and take gunner or chem extinguisher buff hammer engineer.

Take range finder.

Go as their ally pilot and go gunner at helm.

Spam them with clan invites.

Don't rule out Chaladonians... They are after all the most alchemical, growing plants and making potions...
Many alchohols coming from fruits and vegetables which need to be grown.

Stuck up has nothing to do with it, an alchemist made a very potent brew, quite possibly intended to be as a potion base, and a pilot added it to the engine one day, discovered it made the engine a lot more effective with side effects, the recipe got handed around and adjusted over time.

Regarding all the other questions from Skymonger.
Try not to let gameplay mechanics represent your immersion or roleplay point of view, instead use it as a reference, for example when I was writing my little stories for GoI, crew mates would take cover behind certain parts of the ship when under fire, leaving cover when it was safe, armour repairs would be done using abseiling pulleys and an engineer jumping down the side and  rebolting the armour plates back in place, balloon repairs, grapling hook and ropes.

Crew member fell off the ship? They would splat onto the floor in the shape of a human pizza.
