I try not to crew on pyramidions anymore unless they have an out of the box build.

Same. Sure it's more likely to win on one, but it's just... Boring. When I'm piloting my Pyra, I try my best to use an odd setup to give my crew something different. I've found some particularly fun builds, and some that actually work, too.

If you crew on a meta one, try something different yourself. Bring a buff kit, try different ammo, practice your acrobatics, master that Pyra!

Ramming builds for the win. Though, as a Pastry, I enjoy a dual flamer build

You could always try doing your achievements while on a Pyra to at least get SOME enjoyment from it.

You should have seen it months ago when the Pyra handled better...it was the go-to ship. Only ones who used otherwise were new players who cut their teeth on Goldfish/Galleons and myself who hunted them all with a Squid rather successfully. Course you gotta imagine a game where the ships handle a lot better than they do now. Well, aside from the Junker. Junker is probably the only good change this game has had for months.

Should really start a petition. Bring back 1.1. Or at least the good parts of it where ships actually moved well.

You need to find a pilot who likes to ram! Even if you die, it's funny and quite epic. When I'm not piloting or gunning, I found playing a buffgineer on the bottom deck to be hella fun. Keeping the hull and engines buffed is quite a boost with the Pyra.

Was flying a dual flamethrower pyramidion last night. Most satisfying games ever. It's a slow, cruel, painful death for your enemies when all of their components are entirely locked down.

Least fun ship to fly in my opinion.
I dislike the lack of maneuverability or skill indexing on it.
It does have raw killing power, and I always feel deep deep shame when I allow a Prya to kill me.

The lack of manoeuvrability is what makes it so much fun to fly from my perspective. You need think a lot about rushing in and positioning so that you don't end up overshooting and showing your blind spot.

I remember back not so long ago when the Goldfish with a buffed flak gun was seen as the killer build. I found it quite interesting to come back to the game with the pyra filling the role that the buffFlakFish used to occupy.

People don't believe me when I say this but I started flying Pyramidion because everyone else was flying Flakfish.  My build back then was merc flak which was actually a pretty good Flakfish killer especially since the merc could turn so much more than it can now.
