Tie breaker 1 will almost certainly be kills made during the finals. Tie breaker 2 will almost certainly be whoever came into the finals with the higher score.

I'm skeptical about adding more matches, because there's no good way to pair up teams without someone feeling cheated or feeling like they're at a disadvantage. With 6 matches scheduled, there's a great chance that scores won't be tied in the event of a win/loss tie.

Week 1 was odd, we had a time change between when the tournament was originally drafted and when it began. Then we were missing a caster and refs, and it had to be pushed back anyways. As has been explained previously.

It has always been set as a round robin. I'm not sure how we could accomplish a best of five with single ship teams, and still come out with a single winner.

The problem is that a tied score is highly likely, almost guaranteed.

Points are fixed! (Probably?)

Currently the plan is to only count wins. We do not want to count individual kills, since it should be a team effort. However, we did have the idea of counting combined kills. So that if team A and B get 3 kills, they both get 3 points. This didn't make it into the rules, but I would be happy to apply it if the teams are willing. Actually I'll probably put it in unless there is a lot of negative feedback about it.

It's finally here!

First of all, a big thanks to all the teams and event staff for making this event possible, it's been a long road and a lot of fun, despite all the bumps we've had to overcome. But the end is finally in sight. We have our top four teams! And a special shoutout to Kajiggrs who came so very close to being in that top 4 as well.

In the finals, we will play a double round robin (6 matches). Each team will pair up with every other team in the top 4 twice. The first map will be chosen by the team with the lowest score going into the finals (Hastatii). Following this, the losing team for each match with the least points will choose the next map. This will continue until we complete our six matches.

When a pair wins, both teams are awarded a point. In the event of a tie by the end of the tournament, the team with the highest score coming into the finals will be the winner. The team pair ups are posted on the spreadsheet along with team final standings.

Again, any issues with last week, mistakes in calculating scores, random comments; please let me know as soon as possible.

Good luck to the final four!

Teams, matches, and maps are up! Let me know if anything needs to be fixed~

Week 10 will be our final week with the top 4 teams going through a double round robin. The team with the least points will pick the first map. The losing team with the least points will pick the map after each round until we finish. The double round robin means we'll be playing 6 matches, each team pairing up twice.
In the event of a tie in the finals, whichever team came in with more points will win.

Best of luck to everyone!

My apologies to all the teams for not having the points and pairs updated this weekend. For some reason I thought I had already done it and promptly forgot about it. To attempt to make up for this I will have everything updated by tonight (after I get home from work). The points, pairs, maps and matches.

In other news, it's week 9! This is the final week for regular league matches. After this week the top 4 will go into week 10 and compete for the top slot. I will have more information on how the finals will progress along with all the other updates tonight.

Let me try this again.

You (A Fine Nights Curse) SHOULD have started week 2 with 729 points. In my moment of charitable goodwill, you instead started with 858. Your ally and sub team got stomped. On the other hand, Skyborne and GSR's sub did quite well, so you want me to give them the shaft.

Overwhelming pettiness or not, the points will stand.

Well, when AFNC was subbed for, your sub team lost every single match and you would have started at 700 some-odd points. Since the rules aren't specific on what happens when a team is subbed for, I've chosen to go with extremely lenient.

Now we can certainly have GSR have earned 0 points. But then we can also have teams complain about losing points to the subbed team. Should those teams have lost point? Does Skyborne deserve to have those points from the matches they won? We could argue that we should just nullify all those point losses/gains and say those matches were just for entertainment.

We can also argue that Unlgorious Rastorz not showing up prevented Kajiggrs from earning any points. Should we award Kajiggrs points? Do other teams deserve to have won points because Kajiggrs/Unglorious Rastorz couldn't play?

Take your time.

Cronus League Week 8 is almost here! Week 8 and week 9 are the last of the regular matches, this is every team's final chance to get into the top 4! Follow the link below for the pairings for week 8. Go to the 'week 8' tab on the spreadsheet.

Remember to let me know asap if you see any issues/mistakes. If there are any concerns about the weeks previous matches (last second swaps, ally letting the enemy win purposely, etc), bring it to my attention as soon as possible.

Best of luck to all the teams!

The temporary team will play instead of GSR (Still be your partner). We will be enforcing the current ruleset for that sub team. That slot is open.

Round 3 has Ergo Victoriam and Alpha Mike Foxtrot vs. Ergo Victoriam and Alpha Mike Foxtrot.
It's the ultimate battle.

In other news, I'll reupdate everything with the new teams tonight.
