Gameplay / Re: Gameplay idea - British Bullsquids

Hmm...  So everyone spawns in the same area, a capture point is at the other side of the map and the victory condition is tiny, 20 points.
Two teams, 3 on each side, race starts, madness ensues.  I believe that would be rather easy to actually implement without any crazy coding.  Just have to change some spawn points, add a cp and done.

I'm closing ranks with my fellows in opposition, four is enough.  At the start of playing the game it is certainly overwhelming, yet when I have a team of coordinated individuals it's like a well oiled war machine spitting out death to every corner.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Ship Customization: EXPANDED
« on: February 25, 2013, 01:05:40 am »
I vaguely remember a Muse teamster saying that more customization was inbound, just not exactly when, or exactly what.  I want to say flags, but it could have been balloon designs.
I love the idea of tweaking engines oe balloons themselves for different speeds and drag.  I could imagine a squid with super quick engines with crap for HP and a helium filled balloon that catches fire super easy.
Or a very armored engine that turns slower but is less susceptible to fire or destruction, same with the balloon, less maneuvering for an increase in overall HP or damage resistance.
I'd also want to go all in and even tweak the hulls, but I wouldn't want to present a situation where I could min max the crap out of a specific build that becomes an instant win.

For flavor could even include the cyclitick rate of fire like manufacturers do on modern firearms.

Also consider your initial direction of travel.  If your moving down then suddenly switch on hydrogen it wont be nearly as effective.  Momentum counts big.

Gameplay / Re: Balance Concerns & Questions 1.1.4
« on: February 25, 2013, 12:30:32 am »
Well, we all knew this would happen, never a perfect build just new ways to exploit.  All that aside, I dont think anything is truly unbalanced unless one ship can kill 2 ships like the old merc could months ago.  Am I being niave on this?
On another thought, what about if we looked at some weapons in a different grouping like, crowd control, armor damage hull damage.
From this perspective I'm able to take a look at certain weapons and notice how they overlap into more then one category, which in my mind makes that weapon more effective then one that occupies only one of those categories.  Using this kind of logic is how I usually approach ship load outs and can identify a cheap exploit rather quickly.
Thoughts?

I agree with every word you have posted so much that I'm going to start badgering Keyvias about it as often as I can without getting blocked on steam.
I have always been super curious about the statistics that would show me differences from posters to non posters.  I've often been concerned that the more vocal crowd diminishes the community from growing.
