Me and my posse stick to the junker. As engi I'll stay up top and focus on turning engines hull and top guns with a look at the balloon. My pilot will just look up and smack it with a wrench if it needs it unless under heavy attack. Bot gunner will look after main engine unless again.. heavy attack then I'll rush there. While the other randomer.. if engie, supports by general maintenance or if gunner gets priority of top guns.

Well hello there!

As I've been on the forums now for over a week I thought I'd tell everyone a bit about me.

I have had Goio since the steam sales and have worked my hardest to understand all aspects of airship warfare.
 I'm a 21 old guy from England, I currently work in the royal airforce as an engineer.. coincidence? XD
I'm quite experienced in the game already and always up for a game with anyone. I'm quite outspoken and love chitchat and banter. I welcome anyone to add me if they want a few games and I challenge all CA's and musers to a deathmatch

The Pit / read about a new possible ship?

I'm on my mobile so please excuse any typo's...

Whilst I was perusing the web with my gargantuan digits on my diminutive android. (Big fingers.. tiny phone) I came across and odd forum mentioning a new ship class and possibly a fixed front gun. I remember a CA named 'lord dick tim' had talked about it. What's the validity of this?

We talk about heavy piercing to be pretty much a double barrelled gattling gun.. why not like a ballista? Fire a massive crossbow bolt into the hull? In pretty sure that would pierce anything? Just a thought :)

I'm going to assume that a C.V is like a Resume, as I've never really had to write the former... so here is my attempt at a resume :)

Thats a perfect CV to work with THANK YOU! :D is it possibly to strip it to barebones and fill it with my info with your permission?

And yeah guys a CV is form for your employer to check you out and see if you're the best choice for the job. i wanna thank you all. I'm new to this game but it has fast become my favourite.

I for one am happy they do this, it encourages people to get to know every type of ship a little better. Sometimes you'll join a crew and the captain will decide on a ship you aren't used to... do you just leave because 'oh my god i hate the [insert ship type] its so lame and [insert its apparent flaws] or do you suck it up and get on with it knowing where you should keep a wary eye and play to the ships strengths?

Well that's my opinion, obviously everyone is entitled to theirs but ultimatly we didn't make the game so the final decision

How would your CV look?
What will you put in it to show the captain that you are the best crewman for his ship?
What experience you've had etc.

(The reason i'm asking this is because my friend plays this a bit more than me and wanted to surprise him with a CV in the post and would love some peoples ideas before i wrote one up)

Or you could just give the defenders a longer respawn, let's say 30 seconds, instead of the attackers 5.

30 might be a bit too extreme, imagine something like a squid or goldfish using buffed engines and speed helm skills? they could kill from longish range then sneak in and take a point with little to no effort. if a ship tried to go for the ship in question it would leave only one ship in the circle to deal with whatever else is in the team  maybe double respawn? or triple?

When you load a gun with special ammo, if you get off the gun and get back off the same ammo should be loaded into it.  Furthermore, if other people on your ship also have that same ammo it will also be still loaded into the gun.  Only in the case that you or someone goes onto a gun with a special ammo that you do not have that is loaded into the gun, a reload will be initiated.

As a gunner reloading with special ammo, you only need to be on the gun during the last frame of the reload for the special ammo to be placed it.  You can even change your mind with what ammo you load into your gun during the reload animation.  You can decide whether or not it's advantageous or not to empty your entire clip before switching ammo types or not.

The reason why this is done is due to the lack of UI in the game to notify you what ammo is loaded into a gun.  Again, adding UI and all these kind of stuff is non-trivial work on our part.  Stuff was done and it was kind of too late to move away from it without delaying the release of the game for several months.  It's not an ideal UI, I know.  It's what we have to work with, though.  So until we manage to somehow let you know what ammo is loaded into a gun before you get onto it without overloading the UI, which is quite cluttered as it is, it'll have to stay the way it is.


But in other, we want to make the gunner's skills more useful and therefore increase the effectiveness of having gunners on your ship.
maybe with teamwork and people communicating to tell each other whats in it? ;)

Hey first poster here. as an engie i've played with the special ammo while repairing. the special ammo WILL stay in the gun as long as you stay on it long enough to complete the reload. then you can run off and do other jobs and come back to some greased up rounds (or your preference)
