-Saloon-

*Yiski hears Tim's request and hands him a clean rag*
I swear, you hardly ever visit and when you do you're always doin' work. Can't you usually take care of this on your ship?

*Yiski walks up to the window and sees the storm has gotten worse*
By the skies, Nature's sure pissed at us alright.

*Yiski could feel a freezing breeze caused by the strong winds outside*
Shit, forgot the Frost Winds from the Firnfeld are comin' in. Last thing we need is Anvala turnin' into a giant ice cube.

--NARRATOR--

As the storm rages forth, many of the patrons were hesitant to enter into Nature's wrath. Most left to brave the storm, mostly because staying at the saloon past closing would was more of a risk.

At the Docks, Zill, BdrLine, and Jun'ko covered themselves up the best they could against the frozen air blasting into the Docks. Jun'ko smiles as she falls asleep in the Admiral's quarters. BdrLine makes camp next to the engines, keeping a few flammables a bit too close to him.
Before falling asleep, Zill still debates whether he should go join Jun'ko. Ultimately, he decides against it based on principle and a good sense of self-preservation.

Captain Timothy grabs his belongings and stuffs them into his overcoat and heads out. Despite the wind blowing against him, it doesn't seem to effect him.

Shink, realizing the cold air is fast moving in, bolts down the road to the closest inn. By the time he reaches it, there are icicles forming all around his body.

Roland was fast asleep in the spare room. His dreams were about his mother and father. More importantly, they were about how to approach Yiski on the subject.

Ny-Lee makes herself comfortable in Yiski's room. She gives a chuckle of how relatively clean his room is compared to the saloon. The only place where Yiski keeps spotless is the area around his stills. Eventually, Ny-Lee settles into bed and falls fast asleep.

Yiski tosses a few blankets and a pillow on top of the couch. Before settling down, he takes another look out the window. Storm's still steady and it was getting colder. He sighs and heads for the couch and lays down. Before falling asleep, Yiski thinks.

Tomorrow's gonna be bad.

--START OF DAY 31--

--NARRATOR--

The sun peaked over the storm clouds of last night. But the sun was of little comfort to the havoc caused last night and being assessed this morning. To start, the levy which holds much of Anvala's mountain water was severely damaged to the point where those living in the Garden (Northern) District had to be forced to evacuate. Second problem the storm caused was at the Docks. Despite progress of getting the Docks up and fully functional, the heavy icy winds with monsoon rains caused massive sheets of ice to be formed through out the Docks. Massive icicles larger than a human formed over the openings. Repair progress would have to be on hold until all the ice was clear, an all-day affair.

Back at the saloon, Ny-Lee woke up and wondered if Roland and Yiski were already awake. When we walked out from the back, she saw Yiski up. Yiski sees her.
I see you're up early as usual.

I am. Is Roland not awake yet? I thought I would see him down already.

Heh... whenever Roland has any alcohol, he'll be out for the good part of the day. Seeing as how I made him drink something with Hellfire alcohol content, I don't suspect him gettin' up soon.

Ny-Lee watched Yiski walk up to what she believed were heat lamps. As much of a bad idea it was to keep any heat source in the saloon, due to Anvala's location on a mountain side and proximity to the Firnfeld, it was the difference between freezing to death or being blown up. In Yiski's mind the thought of blowing up was a quicker way to die than freezing. Yiski turned back to Ny-Lee.
You wouldn't mind waking up Roland for me would you? Can't seem to get these heaters to run.

Ny-Lee accepted the request and went upstairs to the spare room. She first knocked on the door to see if Roland was awake... no answer. She knocked a few more times until she decided it was useless and decided to open he door. Luckily, it was unlock and see walked in. She spotted Roland sprawled out on the bed with the covers in a mess. She gave a light chuckle before calling out his name.
Roland.... Roland you need to wake up now. Yiski said he needed your help.

The only response was a mumble and a slight shift in position. Back home when BdrLineAzn was still there, if she'd caught him not waking up, she'd get a bucket of ice water and pour it over his head and body. While the thought did cross her mind, Ny-Lee wouldn't do that to Roland.
Ny-Lee finally decided to approach Roland and give him a few nudges in order to wake him all the while telling him to get up.
Roland.... Roland you need to wake up n....!!

Suddenly, Roland grabbed on to Ny-Lee's hand and pulled her down into bed with him. This sudden event caught Ny-Lee off guard as she found herself just a short inch away from his face. The sudden closeness of her face to his also started causing her to blush a bit. Ny-Lee attempted to wake Roland up still.
Roland! Please wake up!

Fortunately, this time Roland opened his eyes, but it was obvious he was still out of it. What happens next could be considered comedy gold.
Good. You're awake. Now if you don't mind letting me go.....

Ny-Lee found herself interrupted again, but not because Roland fell back asleep. Quite the opposite, the only reason why Ny-Lee couldn't talk was because she found herself kissing Roland. This set a whole line of questions and thoughts racing through her mind making her unable to pull away.

The kiss lasted what Ny-Lee could tell were minutes. When the kiss finally did break, her slight tinge of red went full Dragon Pepper red. Despite not being lip-locked with Roland, she still couldn't manage any words.
Roland managed a yawn and it took a few minutes for him to begin registering the events. For all he knew, it was a dream.
Hmm... that was a nice dream. Wait...

When it finally dawn on him what he did, he joined Ny-Lee in silence and became just as red as her.
Oh... um... Good morning Ny-Lee?

Roland's words knocked Ny-Lee out of her daze causing her to gasp and shuffle out of the bed, causing her to fall. The two just sat there staring at each other for a bit. Finally, Roland broke the silence, but stumbled over his words.
I am terribly sorry.... I... I...

I know you didn't do that on purpose.... Anyways, Yiski needs your help downstairs.

Roland nodded and got up. He didn't need to change since last night's event caused him to pass out without changing. The two left and made their way to the stair. Both were still sporting heavy blushes.
Huh... should we discuss this matter or...

I'd rather not want to discuss it right now.

I'll second that.

When the two get downstairs, Yiski sees the both of them and tilts his head, noting their redness.
What's up with you too? Looks like you've got stars in each of your eyes. What happened?

The two simultaneously blurted out.
Nothing!
Nothing!

They looked at each other and chuckled. All the while Yiski was confused as hell.

Even if today was going to be bad, it was sure as hell going to be interesting.

*Morning saw Qwerty in the Anvala hospital, not as a patient but as head doctor. The nights storm and evacuation of the garden district had seen countless injuries, ranging from frostbite from the cold, to breaks, cuts and impalings from collapsing buildings and flying shards of ice. Qwerty was a blur throughout the hospital, treating wounds deemed fatal running from one room to the next. Not a word was said, Qwerty would enter the room, solve the problem and leave, the staff stunned and awestruck.

A crier passed through town, stopping at ever door and informing the people within to take any injuries to the hospital, that they had a disaster specialist ready to treat any injuries. Under special instruction, this crier slides a note under The Burning Skies's door. The note simply read;

'Is everyone allright?'

~ Qwerty

-Docks Narrator-

At the docks, the trio stuck in Zill's warehouse did not rise quickly. Zill woke slowly, and it took him a good few minutes to realize that he couldnt feel much of anything on his body. He had found a spot down in the hull of the squid to keep comfortable for the night. His eyes popped open when he realized what had happened. The frigid Firnfeld air had made a pass with the storm earlier than usual. He proceeded to yell and make a run for the warehouse doors.

No! Not now!

The yell woke BdrLine. He fell off his crates with a loud crash. Luckily his fire had burned out else he would of been much warmer than the others.

What on earth....Why is it so cold? And why are you yelling?!

It wasnt until Zill swung open the large metal doors with a loud screech that Jun'ko peered out of Zill's room. She had obviously just risen as well, as her hair was a mess and the covers covered her still.

Whats all that ruckus?? A woman needs her rest.

The cold air greeted Zill to what can only be described as a frozen Hell. Giant icicles, some as large as a small trade ship, were on absolutely everything. While a majority of the repairs made earlier had held up, the ice was simply everywhere, from warehouses to ships. Zill's head dropped as emotion took over him. BdrLine walked up to stare is disbelief. Jun'ko slowly walked up and put her arms around Zill, also peering at the icy Port.

I know how much it meant to you to get the Port running. Dont despair.

It always feels like one step forward and two steps back lately. I really wanted this to work. Now we have to take a day to remove the ice. And the levies will need restructuring as they cant be breaking every storm.

It will work! You just have to be as persistent as you have always proven to be.

BdrLine finally took in the sight and was able to render a thought.

At least most of the repairs survived. Its not all for naught Zill. Look, even some workers are coming in.

He was right. A few dockworkers from the night before had roughed it in their warehouses as well. A few also started coming in through the main gates. They all grouped up and stood in front of Zill. Someone in the group spoke. "Orders Admiral?"

Zill's head rose back up. As he peered seemingly through the group in front of him at the icy Hell, one thing did catch his eye. The clear Sky above it all.

Ice is our enemy today. I want it off of absolutely everythin'. After that, Ill take any willing man to help with the levy restructuring.

He turns to Jun'ko and though she cant see it, cocks a small smile.

Thank you for that. My life has become a rather dark place. Its good to see some clear Skies.

You deserve that much, oh captain.

She gives him a hug and heads back to get ready for the day's work. BdrLine only stares at Zill, and he notices.

Oh shut up BdrLine. Lets get started eh?

*While Roland and Yiski are still starting up the heater, Yiski notices a note being slipped under the door. Yiski walks over and picks up the note.*

What is that Yiski?

It's a note from Qwerty asking if we're okay. I guess the storm must have been bad. Guess Qwerty has his hands full at the hospital.

*Roland pauses for bit and glances over at Ny-Lee. Both their eyes met and the two went into a fierce blush.*

Roland! Snap out of it. You can eye Ny later, but right now if we don't get the heaters running we'll be joining the others at the hospital.

*Roland's blush grew*
I don... well... okay I will get the heaters started.

*Yiski chuckled to himself*

*Chuckles to Zill*

Alright, alright, but invite me to the wedding if it happens.

*looks out at the giant icicles*

Damn, i knew the the winds of Frinfeild were cold, but this is ridiculous

*Then an idea pops into his head and turns to Zill*

Do you have any working flamethowers? I think i can melt some of the large chunks around here, but for the ships and things covered in ice, we might need a generator and heaters.

--Saloon--
*Ny-Lee in her thoughts*
What a start to the mourning, I mean Roland is a good guy and i think my brother won't get mad at him as he is good friends with him. Oh gods he's looking at me, quick look away *blushes* Can it, could I..... ugh

*To Yiski in a sheepishly voice*

Umm you need help in turning on some of the heaters?

*Zill motions to the back of his warehouse*

I have three in the back. They are modified for longer range so, do try and not fry yourself. That will make getting around easier for sure.

*He looks at the Port and Jun'ko comes up next to him, fully fitted for the task*

Ready to get this goin'? You still owe me a surprise.

*Zill smirks*

I surely do. Lets go.

*Yiski turns to Ny-Lee*
Well, I'd accept the help, but we got a bigger problem. Some of the damn heaters don't have capacitors.

*Yiski grabs his heavy jacket from the back*
I'm gonna have to head out and see if the tech shop is open to get new ones or our patrons are gonna freeze. If you're still offerin' to help, you can aid Roland in making sure none of the supplies or equipment freeze over.

Wait, so Ny-Lee and I are going to be here alone?

Alone? Hardly. When I leave I expect there are gonna be lots of folks commin' in for warmth.

*Before Roland could voice anymore objections, Yiski headed out into the cold, leaving Roland and Ny-Lee awkwardly looking at each other. Roland thinks.*
Well, at least this will give me time to talk to Ny-Lee about this morning. I mean I like her, but how does she feel.

*It's cold. 'Shark Bait' did not last long against the raiders, and the boy was lost amongst the waves of the Anglean Sea. Lights can be seen, but they are moving away from the boy.

"Over here"

*he says, lost to the wind. All is thought to be lost, when he bumps into something*

*Shink wakes with a start not knowing where he is*

These memories are starting to bug me... Maybe Oliver can help figure out what is going on

*Shink heads out to Oliver's house. Before he could reach the house, he could hear Oliver curse loudly, and a shatter from within the house. Then the door open and shut*

"I swear Shink... you break stuff even before you step in my house"

"Sorry Oliver. You got a minute? I've been having some weird dreams lately, and wondered if you could help"

*Shink could see Oliver Visibly sigh*

"Alright.... but you better not touch anything!"

*The last of the patients we're patched up, anything that came in now could be dealt with by the regular staff. Qwerty, exhausted and covered with blood, stumbles out of the hospital. Hours spent under the effect of 'accelerants' to keep up with the work has taken a toll.

Sure, but we just have to be careful so that we don't flood ourselves

*Bdr turns to the outside and points to two workers*

Come on let's get those flamers turned on, and unfreeze this place.

*Bdr and the two workers goes into the back and spots them, once they put in new flamer liquid, the three heads outside to thaw out the giant icicles*

Alright, everyone stand clear from the flames, don't want anyone to become a crispy pile of ashes.

*The three goes to their own individual block and fire the flamer towards it, melting the ice*

-Oliver's House-

-Narrator-

Oliver reluctantly lets Shinkurex into his home. The fire was going, and the atmosphere was very calm despite the evacuation efforts of the Garden District. He chose not to leave. His home meant too much to him, as it really was all he had left.

-End Narrator-

*Oliver cleans up the broken pot and has Shinkurex sit down next to the fire*

Alright. Have a seat and tell me what troubles you. Old memories?

-Docks-

*Zill begins organizing the melting effort and heater placement*

I need a trench leading out the walls downhill from all the ice. I dont want to replace this mess with a flood. Put the heaters on the outer wall and have them up for the generator.

*As the men place the giant heaters around the Port and begin the trench work, Jun'ko works with the group on the generator.*

Get those gears reset. And stop hitting it with a spanner you gasbag! It just needs to be greased up.

*The fire from the flamethrowers cast an eerie glow on all the ice. Zill was pleased to see it go.*
