So it shoots big explosive rockets that knock people around like a mine? I guess if it fires slow enough and has other draw backs it could be balanced.
the knock effect only implies to charged shots, so normal shots wont have that effect.
As for the charged shots... i takes 15s (reload speed + charging) to fire full charged shot after other (the half way charged shot wont have knock)
I'm pretty sure the mechanic that knocks ships around is actually part of IMPACT damage itself, so simply having Impact damage on this gun will knock things around a bit with every shot fired.
well lets just say that it should feel like you got hitten by a mine, Since i want the charged shot to have that kind of effect.
Most of impact weapons wont have much of an effect agenst ships and only one that people will notice is the mine. So this should work like mine shooted from a distance, exept not making so much damage to armor.
