Floating powerups. In particular, a little yellow star that makes you invincible for ten seconds, and anything that touches you dies.

Barding brings bad memories of d&d 4e, where I decided to bard. It is hard to bard as a composite being made of shards.

New movement system involving real parkour vaults, presses, strides and precision jumping techniques. In order to perform them, you have to hit a string of keys in rapid succession to perform vaults. Otherwise, you just get to run around stuff.
