They were probably talking about the Raft.  Currently an entire ship on the team is made up of activitie military members.

Even better, the Pilot Machiavelliest is a pilot IRL.  Always love flying with and alongside those guys and gals on the rare occasions I'm awake during their hours.

As Smollett said, that would be the Raft, which is 50% or so military. The other half is made up of other Ducks. All our permanent spots are taken, but if we need a sub at some point then we'd love to have you on board.

MOPP4 is a military clan, because only people in the military would laugh about getting in to MOPP4.

If it's anything like donning full firefighting equipment, getting in MOPP4 for real would suck... The masks alone... *Shudder* I get real uncomfortable when stuff is going around my head and neck.

Yeah, it sucks, and to be honest, we don't have half of the gear ready to go 90 percent of the time. If someone hit us up on green gear at the PB and said "CHEMICAL ATTACK! MOPP UP!" We'd say "You left all of that shit in quad cons at the FOB, fuck off" and proceed to crawl inside a taun-taun to wait it all out.

But yeah, we do engine room fire drills pretty often. Instead of getting away from the fire though, we run to the repair locker, don firefighting equipment and go to put it out. Going up and down near vertical ladders wearing heavy, insulated coveralls, poorly fitting boots, hood, mask, SCBA, thick gloves, and a helmet gets really exhausting and miserable.

Haven't had to worry about MOPP for a while, mainly because we just set CBR boundaries in the ship. Then again, there are enough doors with pressure leaks that we'd be screwed anyway.

Interesting side note, you know those CBR boundaries that you can set on ship? The Navy researched that in a pretty unique way. By that, I mean spraying the hell out of a couple of ships with various forms of nastiness without informing the crew. This was also done over towns in CONUS.

The US used to be pretty close to the Big Brother entity everyone seems to think it is now.
