Ninety degrees here
Really hot, melting at home
Please rain god, rain water

His tears shall fix all,
your concerns are well noted.

Across the desert,
To fly into the sunlight,
Mirages shimmer.

Above the cloud line,
Spyglass on the horizon,
Watching the sun set.

People, get it right.
Fire has one syllable, kay?!
Do you English, bros?

If you hire someone -
Do you higher them instead?
Sometimes words are dumb.

(we banned the use of fire on page 2 remember!  Also, both higher and hire defiantly have 2 syllables.)

Fly upon the wings
of a ship so strong and true,
in to the sunset.

I scan the ships deck,
The engineers fixing gears
Of the battered hull.

The gunners polish
Brassy battered sparking guns
And organise rounds.

Far in the distance,
Another ship charges forth
A huge galleon.

A battle ensues,
The burning sky with fury,
as rounds burst the hull.

Phoenix claw to turn,
Barrels of moonshine to burn
And so much to learn.

When battle is done
The burning embers remain
and silence remains.

Exhausted we fly
To a port or hiding place
To rest and reflect.

Oxford English Dictionary says:

Hire
Line breaks: hire
Pronunciation: /ˈhʌɪə

Higher
Line breaks: High¦er
Pronunciation: /ˈhʌɪə

Fire
Line breaks: fire
Pronunciation: /ˈfʌɪə

The number of line breaks denoted the number of syllables that a word has. Hire has one, Higher has two. Fire has one.

Such Naziism
Grammar is so important.
My work here is done.

Hire and Higher are homophones how can they have different syllables?  By those rules this is a 5/7/5 haiku:

Hire Higher Higher
Higher Higher Hire Higher,
Higher Higher Hire.

You're right, it is a haiku! :D

Homophones only go so far in the Queen's English. There is a subtle nuance in their pronunciation that isn't important for regular speakers. The same is true of all the different iterations of 'there' such as 'their' and 'they're'. Higher has two syllables when using the nuances, where hire and fire have only one. Don't ask me why - it's complicated.

Spelling and Grammar,
Pronunciation is king.
Intonation rulz.

Playing hide and seek,
With many clouds to hide ships,
A flare wins this game.
