Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Warship 1v1

Duel at Dawn used to be a 1v1 match, hence the name. I've heard quite a few experiences players saying that they liked it better that way, but that's their opinion. I personally never got a chance to play on it when it was like that, since it was earlier in the beta.

On the subject of mercs, I have to disagree completely with using Lesmok on them. They already have enough range to hit any ship that you can see, and speed/drop shouldn't be a problem. Frankly, if the engineer needs Lesmok to hit with a merc, then they should probably work on their aim. Charged is much more useful thanks to the insane killing power it gives. At best, Lesmok is good for new players who don't have much experience aiming with the merc.

I am also personally a proponent of having an all-sniper side and a short range side. If you put a disabling gun on the front (flamer, rockets...), then you can minimize the effect that your foe can have while you turn. It doesn't take that long to turn around, either. And you might not even have to worry about their guns if you've disabled them with the mercs.

We'll see about that. I have a feeling that Zill will end up having to pay my expenses again, much like he did when I lit fire to your old plushie shop. Damn, those things burn quickly.

And whaddya expect, anyways? It opens at the hour, and I walked in at the hour. I ain't got time to wait around outside, not with the type of people I could encounter out there.

I'll never forget the day I saw some of those rooks using greased rounds on a harpoon! A gun with one shot! Even a lochnagar flamer has a chance of doing something!

*Over hears the conversation*
Well, it was a friendly gesture. And ye got to admit, if I took down Zill in a ram, then I coulda' took them all on!

Yeah, but only if they're on your own team!

Speaking of which, who did stitch you back together again? I may need to pop in occasionally, depending on how long I'm drinking here for.

Head over to the sawmill and tell them you know N-Sunderland, and you're there for an appointment. That should do the trick.

*as  he steps over the door* Didn't know we had medical schools in these parts, are you sure you didn't get another kidney stolen, Sunderland?

When I say medical school, I'm probably referring to the sawmill. Not that I'm sure what a saw mill is at the moment...

And for the last time, the kidney wasn't stolen! I lost it when Skyraider decided to muck about and smash into Zill.

*banging comes from the other side of the door*

"Dammit Yiski, forgetting to unlock the door as usual!"

Yiski looks over at the door, held shut by a complex lock mechanism. Suddenly, out of nowhere, it caves in on itself and the door opens. N-Sunderland walks in.

"No matter how many times I've broken that lock open, ya keep on replacing it with the same model! Get one that actually does its job and keeps people out, damn it!"

Sunderland walks over to Yiski and sits down.

"Stuff got a bit boring for my taste last night, you know? Too calm. All I have to take away from it is a bit of brain trauma. Doctor told me that I should take time off the job. Ha! Imagine me, me who designed a replica of the Icarus accurate to the screw while bound and blindfolded, taking time off because of some petty brain damage! I swear, I have no idea what they're teaching in medical school anymore, but it's not doing anybody any good."

What, like the edge of the map? If you don't know where they are, look at the map :P

I've never played with a mic, yet I do just fine. I listen intently to the captain, and use the text chat a lot. You should never ignore players who can't talk.

To be quite honest I don't know where I've head this.

I'd wage they haven't completely dropped idea of 3 classes (but it's rather low on the priority list) - I definetively hope so, even if they implement it only in the adventure mode.

Thanks for the update n' stuff.

On the topic of names: Artemish was oficcialy called a sling this last month, when I first started playing. You forgot to mention Lumberjack Heavy Mortar :P. I think there has been some renaming lately. Altho when you go select front weapon on the Goldfish it still says "Available Medium Guns" oll of witch have Heavy in the name nowdays.

Just make sure you don't get your hopes up about a new gun class.

I'd imagine that it saying "Available Medium Guns" is just a little detail that Muse forgot to correct.

*wakes up*

Uungh, what happened?

On that note, I'd better be getting out of here. I've had enough to drink, and Furrymessiah has made a good point. And it's 1 AM where I am, and I don't want to be letting my captain down tomorrow.

See you drunkards around.

How can one lose an eye in a mask? Also, I rarely fight against Zill, even I'm not that foolish (Most of the time) to do that. The one time I did, I followed him down, not being able to fight him 1 on 1 since the battle was over. Also I ain't afraid of someone like you, I met many stronger than ye in battle. If its a fight you want then I'll gladly fight you, I never back down, even in certain death.

Hah! Your alcohol tolerance will never improve, will it, Skyraider? I remember it clear as day. We weren't fighting Zill, of course not, even I would fear the thought of doing so. We were all conducting a trade mission together in the canyons, and you ran straight into him, letting the chasing pirates blast us to the ground. It's not hard for your eye to come out through a mask when broken pieces of wood and metal are falling and flailing around you.

I might need to have this conversation with you when you're sober. As it stands, your memory seems to be out on vacation.

I wouldn't say you're getting it started, since we already have some prominent streamers like qwerty2jam, but it's always great to see more people get involved!

N-Sunderland, every time you say the words 'young', 'green', or 'naive', I get this twitch in my eye. Usually when I get this, it's right before I blow some trash out of the sky. Now I'm not going to pick a fight with you since SOME of the people in this watering hole are nice enough folk...

...but before you go tossing labels around, perhaps you should see what I can do on a ship... first...

Look kid, if you had put any effort into listening to what I said, you'd realize that I described my old self with two of those words, and didn't even use the other. And I'm just saying, you could full well be the greatest engineer the world has ever seen, but you'll have to show us that first.

I do remember seeing a young lad that Zill picked up, all I thought was "What an idiot". I never was a big fan of new-comers, and I still am keepn' my eye on you N-Sunderland.

If you're referring to the eye that you lost in that Goldfish crash and I keep on a necklace to this day, then yes, you do have an eye on me. And don't you dare come asking for it back! You were the one who flew us straight into Zill's ship, and I was the one that won the bet. It's mine, fair and square.

"Hey, now wait a minute!" She said, gripping the hilt of her mallet. "You're cruisin' for some anesthetic, Sunder."

Go ahead, hit me! The kerosene and grease running through my veins after all these years as an engineer has destroyed my nervous system anyways, so I'll gladly take a beating from a mallet or two.
