For me it has to be WWI, as cliche as it may be.  A specific battle, however, has to be the Battle of Vimy Ridge.  I'm Canadian and pretty patriotic, and the battle itself is an excellent example of ingenious tactics and rigorous training.  For those of you unaware of it, have this wiki link.

Where else would my interest in history come from?

Crap, Sabaton are seriously making a lot of people get into history! I learned more about the 30 Years War hearing the album Carolus Rex than in an entire school year!
(Not counting the fact that my history teacher was a fukken commie so we entirely jumped over the 17th and 18th century just to talk about the Italian Porto-socialists and bloody Marx)

Ok, now that I see that many here know Sabaton, here's the question:
What is the most interesting historical fact you "learned" by listening Sabaton?

In terms of sheer "holy shit" factor it has to be the Chasseurs Ardennais.  Specifically, from Resist and Bite, where 40 men held off a fighting force that included Erwin Rommel's 7th Panzer Division (AKA the Ghost Division).  Either that, or Smoking Snakes.

In terms of "hey that's cool" it has to be Carolus Rex or Night Witches (Which also has to be one of my favourite songs ever)

Anything on their new Last Stand album. Most of those stories have the "holy shit" factor in the stories. I agree with Resist and Bite, that is definitely up there. 40:1 is an interesting story as well, as is No Bullets Fly.
And how could I forget Inmate 4859, a story about Witold Pilecki a man who literally forged papers to get himself sent to Auschwitz.

Not me, Anglea seems to use and abuse and cannibalize as much tech as they can, though I suppose you can draw parallels with the STCs and the tech buried in the ice.

If Anglea is Space Wolves, does that mean Yesha are the Ultramarines, or the Imperial Fists? :v
