Maybe they're not staying in the novice matches because they can't play KotH and CK there? o.O
Actually the Novice curse is more simple than that....
I'll explain.with fake numbers as example...
2 players buy and join GoIo, both do the tutorials. Player one is "CoD mlg pro gunna brah" and the other is regular (not an arse) gamer.
The queue takes longer than 30 seconds to find a fame and "mlg pro yo" dude types in global "Cor brah takin ages to get game!"
Helpful Vet who does not know queue times: "Oh that might be because you're queuing for novice match, there are less novice matches than regular matches."
Mlg pro yo dude gets insulted, he is no novice, he never misses a.head shot, and his third party program reduces his guns recoil so he can head shot a whole clip brah! So he turns novice off, before a minute has passed, gets put into match, cant find gun, gives up and rage quits game before 2nd ship death.
But regular dude is still queing for novice, after some time he asks for help, and gets given same answer, he waits a little longer and then realises, no novice will come, so he turns off novice.
Rinse, repeat, on a scale of hundreds.
I think its about 80% of Novices, turn off novice before they play their second or third game...
Leaving the same 20% of players playing against each other until novice finishes... Which does not take long..
Another thing that happens is mister "mlg pro yo" wont even ask in global, he'll skip through the tutorials and turn off novice mode feeling insulted by being referred to as a Novice by the game...
The novice period is so damn short that.even the 20% who do stay don't realise they're on the same map.for the five matches they play before graduation..
Then they find themselves inside Labyrinth.
