Mobula has always been a good ship on any map, they are now just acting like it is something special.
I beg to differ about the any map part, but the mobula is pretty underrated in the hands of the right pilot.

with that former post I meant that if 2 pyras are going against eachother there will always be a loss and a win.
that doesnt show that it is more or less effective.

I would be interested to know the pyramidion loadout info and win/loss rate (aka how many of those were metamidions).

I would also be interested to know the most common ship pairings and their win/loss rate. I'd be very surprised I guess if the vast majority of games didn't feature at least one pyra on the team.

Also would like to know the general gun use rate, with a large weight (perhaps 4:1) towards front vs side facing guns. I wonder what the amount of sniping that went on is.

Also, as far as I cannot exactly promise gun usage ratings, I am eager to make the ship ratings based on their pairings.

You're the best Deltajugg!

The amount of metamidions is unsurprising - what is neat is that people seemed to enjoy a wide smattering of gun types on the pyramidion - more so I think than any other ship can boast - even those with more guns. I'd like to think this is a product of the dominance of the pyra - it is an extremely versatile platform that performs well basically in any scenario and teamcomp, with the right guns.

I am saddened (though unsurprised) to see the increase in the amount of metamidion usage during the playoffs - it seems people were more open to experimentation during the season but during the final stretch reverted to the "safe" and proven metamidion.

Is it that, or is it just the teams that used metamidions during the regular season the ones that made it further in the playoffs?

Hmm, I dunno!

I thought up more interesting win/loss ratios though (because face it generally speaking the more it is picked the more often it will tend towards 50%).

Lets maybe get the data on the most dangerous "upset" ships?

Basically for every loss, we give the winning team's ships points equal to the amount of wins the loser had (in total, during the season).

For example if Team A had 30 wins and 2 losses, but both their losses were to double squid teams, squids would have 120 (2 ships each time, 2 wins, vs a 30 win team) points.

So for example our champions and runners up have lots of wins each, but I'm curious as to the ship comps of the ships that beat them.

I want to see which ships are the meta crushers. Which ones beat metamidions, and which just generally beat pyras consistently.

Twould be neat, but I bet you (I think I already owe you money...double or nothing!) that the majority of metamidion crushers are ... more metamidions.

Yea...
