The Fury of the Forest is an old old wive's tale about the famous "Whomping Willow" defense system implemented by Chaladon ages ago, concocted by the cowardly and dazed survivors of the first pirate raid on Chaladon after it's installation.  It says the trees themselves lashed out with explosive fury, branches and leaves whipping out to strike at airships and rend them in twain, flashing wildly, bright light and noise everywhere, and the thunder of their mighty creaking bringing to mind the wrath of whatever gods remain above.

The Library of Beliefs

An ancient structure from before the Great War, the Library of Beliefs catalogued all know religions, philosophies, political theories and other such things.  The location was lost long ago, and modern scholars believe that it exists either below the Arashi desert, or deep in the frozen tundra of Anglea.

Like a Yeshan's barrel.

A phrase taken from the famous adventure book "Me, my coat and my hat: a pink dyed adventure" narrating the journeys and the discoveries of the one and only Mann. Still to this date, apparently 86 years after its first pubblication, the book is a best seller among yougsters and a headache for philologists, who can't apparently decide if the main character of the book is fictitious or real.

A scathing words often employed by seasoned gunners, engineers, and pilots when another member of the crew cannot seem to do their job correctly.

Threading the needle

Used to describe any pinpoint maneuvers needed to avoid something, whether that be weaving through a cloud of hwatcha rockets with minimal damage or navigating the tightest parts of the Paritian ruins, you're threading the needle.

Sky's Judgement

An ancient superstition popular among older aeronauts.  It speaks of a massive storm appearing out of nowhere, one that utterly decimates the airships of overly confident pilots.

Gunner's Bane

[C r o w]

An overly drammatic way to say that the gunner hurt their wrists, or more generally their hands and arms in such a manner that doesn't let them shoot as well as they usually do.
