I've only started today but on 3 (maybe more) separate occasions I have hijacked the helm due to pilots wandering out onto the deck or pilots leaving the game altogether.
My only regret is I didn't shout "This is a mutiny. I'm taking over this ship"

Then I start cussing on how it sucks to be flying a ship as an engineer, or, in a more recent case, a gunner since my own pilot tool is a spyglass...while simultaneously kicking the other team's butts...

Just did a 10-second lesmok salvo, five hits (three hit one ship, two hit the ship behind him since he sank.)

If I do my maths right...lumberjack arming time is 1.2 seconds, and it's 300m to arm with that (if you read those patchnotes been a while so no clue if that's changed.)

250m/s * 60% =  150m/s + 250m/s = 400m/s
400m/s * 10s = 4000m

Did help a bit that those two ships were sitting still....

ooh, zuka was losing 4-0 on dunes at 50% permahull, called for help in steamchat and I joined his ship mid-game unwittingly as a pilot, after which we proceeded to systematically gatflak our way to a rather exhilarating victory.

4 captains a Squid flying backwards, and only using a single flare gun to kill people. we won 5-0 because "Flare gun is OP" XD

I broke one of the fundamental laws of piloting yesterday, to great effect.

My team was winning 4-0 in 2v2 Dunes. I was flying my wonderfully amazing ramming Pyramidion. I was working on focusing a Junker down, but he was surviving and I was getting bored. Then the enemy Spire started to get close. So I said to myself "Screw it, let's get the Spire". I moonshined towards him and got the instakill with a ram.

Ramming with Pyras is fun in general. It's especially fun when they don't see you coming. Like when you spawn right behind them at the start, and get a kill about 20 seconds into the match.

Kpenguin and I snuck up on a squadron of three Pyramidions in a Gallion and managed to kill one before they knew we were there. It didn't hurt that we had one of those freak starting spawns where we popped up on the far side of the map from our team. Still they had 12 sets of eyes and none of them noticed the behemoth creeping up from behind.

This one time me and Papa P were playing with Zill, along the way we figured that we were just going to fuck around so we kept ramming him into shit and got him killed, and then we died. This went on for the entire match.

And of course once it was over I just said "quack quack" in the PGL
