Idea for new Game type?

I'm fairly certain that the world of GoI does not contain electromagnetic shields.

A FFA mode would be quite interesting, 4 ships, everyone is your enemy. Or a variation like the Kill the king mode from halo 4, in a FA game the one with the most currend points is marked for everyone to see.
Also I thought about a gametype where everyone is assigned one of 2 teams(red/blue) but you can only see which team you are in, but not which team the other crew members are in( save for captain), because the teams are scrabled togeher (red and blue team members on same ship without knowing)
The captain will be obvious, because his ship will resemble his team.
the rest is normal deathmatch, you have to kill the enemy ships, for your team to award points. the catch is that you probably have people on your ship working against you and there is frienfly fire. So on a red ship, blue team members can use the cannons to shoot the other red ship.
it would be interesting and chaotic :D

I also got some ideas.
Caravan:
Escort the gunless junker towards the destination point. enemies will try and kill it. when the galleon dies, the destination point will be spawned somewhere else. whenever the junker reaches a destination point, the defending team will gain 1 point. there will be 2 rounds, each round will be 5 or 7 minutes.
Free For All:
No explanation needed.
Team Deathmatch:
No Respawn.
ARS (All Random Ships):
All ships will be randomly generated, this includes randomly generated gun loadouts. players can still choose their own character class and skill.

Anglean Stand-off:
It's like a mexican standoff where there are in fact 3 teams containing 2 ships instead of 2 teams containing 3 ships.
Yeshan Knifefight: (I like the name)
All Squids, All Carronades.
Coppernaut: (variation of juggernaut but the ship that kills the coppernaut will not become the new coppernaut)
2 teams. 1 team containing 3 ships and 1 team containing 1 coppernaut ship. The Coppernaut ship will get double damage and double health as compensation.
The ship will only get the name Coppernaut and the health buff and damage buff. The coppernaut and other team will be spawning on different sides of the map. Whenever the Coppernaut dies, it will get the possibillity to respawn anywhere on the map, and the other team will recieve 1 point. the amaunt of points needed to win is 5.
Golden Cog:
2 teams will be fighting over the Golden Cog. The Golden Cog will spawn in the middle of the map and the first ship picking up this item will start recieving points for his or her team. The ship will keep scoring points until it gets killed. When the ship with the golden Cog dies, it will drop the Golden Cog. Points to win depends on the map.
