This is a story
« on: March 09, 2013, 03:40:58 pm »
Now I just need someone to sing it and record it:

Now this is a story all about how;
Their squid got flipped; turned upside down
I'd like to take a minute just float right there -
I'll tell you how to win these battles cruisin' mid-air.

With a crew on my Galleon that I nursed and raised;
On the dunes  is where I spent most of my days.
Chillin' out, floatin', cruisin' all cool,
Once in a while shootin' some fools.

When a couple of Squids who were up to no good,
Started makin' trouble over worthless loot.
I got in one little fight; my crew got scared!
I said, "Man these guns and take back the air!"

I turned towards the Squid, and when it came near,
The license plate said "Shoot Me" and I saw Bubbles in my mirror
If anything I could say that this man was rare,
But I thought "Forget it; our airspace is not for share!"

My crew fired at the squid about seven; eight times
and I yelled to the Engie "Gonna ram; hold tight!"
Looked at the explosion; I was finally there...
To sit proud at the helm;- waiting for the next to dare..

heh, I meant our Fan Soundtrack (that's not a real abbreviation btw, just something I used to say in our old forum for the fan songs that were made). I just had a general thought back then that it would be fun to record them... for science!

Soon we'll be able to release our very own FST (Fan Soundtrack).
Muse Games presents: A Guns of Icarus Christmas
Featuring such classical hits as "My Little Pyra"
And who could forget "Lumberjunker"
And everyone's favorite "I am the very model of an aviation admiral"

Haha! Ok sounds like fun :)

You definitely wouldn't want to miss out on "Can't Hwatcha This" then!

Now I can't get the image of young Will smith in multicolored 80's attire doing his intro on the top deck of a galleon out of my head. Thanks a lot.

Salute for the orriginality.

Salute for the orriginality.

I'm pretty sure parodying the Prince of Bel-Air opening is anything but original.

Co-opting it for a steampunk airship game is original in my book. As is the terrifying mental imagery of family friendly hip hop being preformed on the deck of a galleon.

Could you imagine, what was that eraser head haircut called?  You'd have a guy with one of those dancing in parachute pants on the deck of a Galleon.

In my mind's eye I see him dancing as the hull and the turning engines go to red. My gunner begs to turn left for a better shot, my engineer is struggling with the balloon, and all 80's guy does is dance... dance.... dance. I call to him, but he doesn't hear me. The funky beat has taken him and with it my crew. They are all dancing now, the boom of heavy flack exploding against my hull sets the tempo. I resign my ship to its doom, its funky funky doom.
