Sound for being hit by the chaingun
James T. Kirk:
Touché.
Maybe a more recognizable "ZOMG UR ARMOR IS DROPPING, DUDE!" Sound.
I don't hull engineer often (people don't trust me with their ships), but when they do, I sometimes miss the hull dropping while preparing to switch from spanner to mallet.
Piemanlives:
If I remember correctly it has a base of 60.
Dutch Vanya:
About the sound getting annoying, since when are gamers bothered by the sound of machine gun shots?

Exactly, and the sound can be subtle. A good crew would hear the first few 'plinks' and know they were under attack. Just today we had a Pyramidion tailing us in a really good blind spot, hitting us with gatling fire and we didn't realize until it was half way gone.
Sure expert players notice it, but what about the beginners? Every other gun makes an impact sound (minus the flamer, but it's hard to miss fire everywhere)
RearAdmiralZill:
Heh, vets dont always notice that soon. Even I succumb to this at times with a pyra in my galleon's blinds. A subtle plink would do the trick. Surely it cant be worse than listening to those engines all match.
