Sound for being hit by the chaingun

(1/6) > >>

QKO:
At the moment, there's no way for the crew to tell whether their armor is in the process of being stripped other than standing on it and watching it deteriorate. Please give us an audible sound that allows us to know whether we're being hit by bullets. (And perhaps add an option to disable the sound for those that get annoyed by it.)

Captain Magellan:
At first, the idea of having the sound of bullets shattering and pinging across your hull would be neat, it would probably get annoying fast due to the amount of Gatling fire that most ships experience.

However, you should have no problem noticing your hull being damaged, because any engi worth his wrench notices when something is damaged, and any engi worth their Moonshine always keeps an eye on the hull health bar. So noticing damage shouldn't be an issue.

Captain Smollett:
As a Pilot I watch my hull armor like a hawk. It factors into every decision I make and I'll often notice incoming chain gun fire before my crew does I see the telltale draining of the hull armor.

James T. Kirk:
The sound of a Carronade is fairly recognizable when it hits you.

The sound of a mortar is fairly recognizable when it hits you.

The sound of a Hawacha is fairly recognizable when it hits you.

Why not Gatling?

Piemanlives:
Gatling, the only weapon with more then 30 rounds.
