Ship stats
« on: July 09, 2013, 02:26:18 pm »
So, I've been looking around for ship stats (to do some theorycrafting) and failed horribly. The wiki seems out of date and all the correct numbers for things are scattered everywhere. It would be nice to have a centralized location for all the ship stats somewhere, preferably in an easy to read spreadsheet format.

Anyone have the numbers on things like armor and hull, specifically?

Tyty. I've been trying to figure out how long i can keep up armor against 1 or more gats, depending on what ship i'm on, whether hull is buffed, how acccurate the enemy is, and how many spanner hits i can get in. This really helps (assuming the numbers are accurate).

I've long held that at the moment, because armor and health damaging weapons keep spreading further apart, health numbers are far too low and essentially meaningless.

How so?

This is consistent with my in game experience.  Do you think it's lower or higher?

Don't forget accuracy is dependent on hit box size.  One of many reasons the Spire is so squishy.

I think it's lower. I mean, I haven't flown mine since dev app came around, but I find it hard to believe it has more hull hp than a pyra.

Hey, could be wrong, but that's my call, lol.

The spreadsheet is now gone, which makes me sad. But i saved the numbers! So now i'll just have to keep an eye on patch notes to see if anything gets changed.

EDIT: and the spreadsheet is back! and the Mobula's name is now properly bolded! hooray!

What strikes me more is that the Goldfish has 1100 perma hull. I knew it could take some hits, but that number is quite impressive..

The Goldfish is, quite honestly, the second most durable ship in the game.

Yea, but its armor is so bad that its not hard to take notches out of the Perma-hull bit by bit.

Don't get me wrong, The Goldfish is my favorite ship, but its marginal armor makes the Pyri a little more durable, in my opinion.

6 strokes of a spanner and the armor is back up in shape, with a few manuvering, you should be able to not take much perma hull damage if at all and you can even survive 5 buffed shots from a Flak on your perma. If the Goldfish goes tank mode it can easily keep its armor up when the need to escape arrises, in other situations, your guns should either take care of the target or you will be in long range sniping, it's a fine ship, don't laugh its low armor away, just like the Squid it can tank a lot with propper engineering.

6 spanners and a mallet, and the armor is pretty much new.

I fly a Goldfish 85% of the time, but it doesn't feel "tanky" like the Galleon does.

That may just be my tendency to panic when the hull goes down, or maybe our good fish's relative fast speed an quick turning, or maybe I just run into a lot of explosive-laden ships.

While, yes, it can take a fair bit of punishment, it can't take punishment consistently. If you manage to win a close fight while flying a Junker, you can repair most of your total hitpoints. Winning a close fight on a Goldfish leaves you with significantly less of your total hitpoints.
