It’s Friday and time for you to hear about our day. Don’t worry no boring stories about who we bumped into at the supermarket. This is all action, all the time. Standard format, we’ll go through a bunch of team members and you can hear what they’ve been working on. If you want to ask us anything about what they have been working on feel free to join us today at 3 pm est on twitch.tv/gunsoficarus where we will be answering questions live.
Chang-hung:
CH has been swan diving into the world of naval tactics, ship gun
fire-control systems, and gun directors, all for the AI enemies.
Our favorite part of his research has been Dazzle Camoflage.
Howard:
Howard has been getting us set up for the Unity PS4 Beta with complementary PS4 dev kits. Howard got us rolled into the Groupee Be Mine bundle as a bonus.
Howard also stayed up late to CPR the newsletter with Matthew. He also planned the special mystery event.
PAX East has also been on Howard’s plate as he gets the final bits organized.
George:
George is working on ship decoration preview, stop animations for running, and special collision effects. So your standard “ooh” “ahhh” “Boom.”
Emily:
Emily has made a bunch of mock-ups of the new welcome screen. She is also experimenting with menu interaction for controller users so our PS4 and Steambox friends don’t get stuck with Lobbies of Icarus.
Nathan:
Nathan is still banging away at more bugs as he works down the list we handed him. He is also evaluating our current tutorials and writing specs for new ones.
Alex:
Alex released 1.3.5 and then instantly went into hotfix mode to catch a few stray bugs. The last one went out today and should round off the introduced issues.
He is Also testing co-op enemy behavior and helping to iron out the kinks in that.
Eric:
Eric is working on the same thing as last week and is also doing some portable flack testing.
Matthew:
Matthew got to play doctor with Howard to the newsletter as well as finish up the first draft for the community spec, which includes a massive overhaul to the clan system. New CA’s were also tested out this week with a few new faces joining the yellow name crew very soon.
