Weekly Progress Update: February 21st, 2014

Hey everyone,

The updates are back.  We held off last week because we were so excited about the trailer and showing it off, but we’re back now and you can hear about how it is going in the office.
As always you can join us on stream at twitch.tv/gunsoficarus every Friday at 3 pm est and ask us questions about this or anything else happening in the Guns of Icarus world.

Chang-hung:
CH has been still working on AI airship actions.

Howard:
Howard is 2 chapters away from his first revision of the history of GoIO. The last two chapters chapters will be on service and perseverance.

George:
George is wrapping up ship customization preview, support for artist decal, decoration, and figurehead placement. He’s also looking to squeeze in color tinting this week.

Emily:
Emily just finished up the new welcome screen and is now working on the new community pages. There’s a lot of cool things from events, to clans, to a new profile page being created.

Tim:
Tim is working on a guide for airship design, rough ideas about how to differentiate types of aircraft. He’s also building a test “bomber.”

Nathan:
Nathan read over the feedback and made revisions to the plan for new tutorials. He is also learning UI code and implementing functionality for new/revised UI.

Alex:
Alex is creating weather events for co-op mission and doing some assorted shader work, new and improved terrain shaders, decals for ship decoration and some performance experiments.

Eric:
Eric is working on Skill progression in Co-Op mode, mailing kickstarter stuff out, and discussing and planning various balance issues.

Jerry:
Jerry is hard at work squashing some final bugs for matchmaking and has started testing heavy loads on it.

Derek:
Derek is finishing up run stop animations for male and female models.

Tom:
Tom is putting the AI through an Airplane obstacle course and working on their avoidance.

Matthew:
Matthew has been dealing with the flood of emails that have come in with the new sale and doing his best to make sure the new players are taken care of.
