Fire ammo + Hwacha; maybe a tad op?

Hey,

So I've been playing the game quite a bit over the last 2 days, and it is amazing.
One thing I have noticed though is the Hwacha + fire ammo seems (only in my opinion of course) to be overly powerful, as it sets fire to literally everything, making it extremely hard to retaliate or get away as the engies have to keep the hull armour and balloon up, leaving engines and guns out of commission. I'm sure you guys have done a tonne of balancing, but I have noticed this quite a bit lately and it is a little frustrating. Still, the game is awesome and this is a minor gripe.

Also, just wanted to say I think its awesome to actually see devs in chat, almost never happens in other games.

...I honestly hadn't thought of that. The Hwacha's role is component destruction either way, but adding incend rounds would probably cause even more havoc.

Quick, hide this from NAF! I don't want them to start using incends with their carronade! Oh, the humanity!

I normally take heavy clip, or burst rounds if I am going to be shooting a Hwacha. I can see how incendiary could be useful, but it takes longer to recover destroyed equipment than burning equipment. Also Muse has slightly Nerf fire in the last build allowing a gun to be operated with up to 7 charges of flame instead of just 1 charge disabling.

While the Hwacha seems to be the go to gun in the new meta, I have had success with the Heavy Carronade, and I am sure someone (most likely Zill) will figure out how to make the Heavy flack and Lumberjack viable again.

Incendiary halves the range and plays havoc with accuracy due to the projectile speed penalty, I can see advantages at close range but I would prefer Burst myself, and Heavy is non-optional at long range.  Any other ammunition at long range and you're percentage hit rate drops dramatically as the spread covers half the sky.

I'd much rather have my engines on fire than broken. Fire is easy to fix, and the equipment still works while it is burning.

Remember, you need 8 fire charges on a gun to disable it.  Furthermore, you can counter fire quite effectively if you're smart about it.

Awkm why are you trolling your player base?

The more experienced players know there is a better ammo combo for the Hwacha, but new players like Hillbillyjoe are still learning via experimentation. You shouldn't be making fun of him for failing to pickup on the nuances of a system you designed. At least not with your official Muse account.
