A pilot tool that would stop your ship instantly. Could be used to stable your ship in windy maps.

Not exactly realistic, but I could already see possibilities. Maybe something like a harpoon for the ground that holds you indefinitely by the tether until you turn it off. Would make for interesting turns and maneuvers.

This is a cool idea... It could reduce movement in all directions by a large amount, and then the effect could linger for 5 - 10 seconds after the tool is switched off.
