Because they believe that having a system named "Imperial" sounds cooler.

How the hell do you measure a Fahrenheit ? It doesn't make any sense!

You missed a perfect opportunity to say 88mph >_>

to answer your question crow. 32°F = 0°C

Why does everything have to make sense?

everything has to make sense because "because magic/steampunk/sciencefiction" can't be the answer to everything.  And because I'm apparently a scientist in the pit I have to find out the meaning of everything

what is the joke behind the 88mph?

Why does everything have to make sense?

Sense making rated over is it, sense making without make would hard shit read to. we therefore obligated are sense make to.

Why are things that are un-common typically referred to as common? (IE. Common sense, common courtesy, etc etc.)

Because some time in history they were common, then no more.

Why have many Forum legends come back to life recently?

Why do you view us as legends?

I see you as legends of the forum because you were very active when the game and the forum were just born, you have yourself the "it's Shink's fault" joke, that made me curious about the events that led to it, also Zill and Yiski were two of the most important writers of the Cantina, with their Skies saga.
Also by the forum I get that Zill was the type of player that would beat you brutally well.

I feel like an utter fool for not getting the reference.

in any case bows have more range and more projectiles in the air, while crossbows are more powerful and easier to use (their also better in sieges, because you can jsut wait for your  target with the crossbow loaded

Is it cool if I tell my future kids I met you shink?

I would change for the better the economical situation of the Roman Empire in 300 a.d., so that they wouldn't be in a crisis that would lead to malfunction in every branch of government and in the army, and that would influence the quality and quantity of Roman troops and people's cohesion during the next centuries, and thus changing effectively the world, because it would survive the destruction of the Empire at the hands of barbarians.
Yup, the world, because Middle East changed because of influence of both assholes from Europe and the Far East, the Far East during the last centuries had ties with Britain, that changed them forever, and America would be different today from what it is now, because, y'know, European colonisation.

How could you describe European colonisation methods?

Terrible. Uncoordinated. Laughable.
At least to my history of The Brits colonizing America.

Though to be fair, this IS 15th or 16th century I believe, so not much else to say.
Roanoke was a disaster, no survivors, Colonists abandoned, no trace of what happened to them.
Jamestown. Death. Death. More death. Disease. Starvation. Frozen to death. Killed by Indians. And your livelihood is based on a drug that will kill you in another 20 years.
Fantastic right?

Plymouth, don't remember too much from my first semester college history.
Founded due to religious persecution.
That's hilarious.

-Question I need more friends. Would any of you be a friend?
I have candy.
