I think it would be sort of like TF2 where you have to sit by one capture point for a while before it gets locked and the next one unlocked.

A push-cart map, somehow.

VIP escort? A cargo barge or something- one team races it across the map, the other tries to destroy it?

Hmm, not sure that would work- the enemy team would just snipe the ship, unless all of your team became meatshields, but I do not think that's the intended effect. However, an idea would be to stall a ship- you can't destroy it, but it has to reach its destination within a time limit. It'd be a big ship with huge engines- while the ship is invulnerable, its engines are exposed. Each have abnormally large health, and would deactivate once destroyed. They would then have a repair period, say about 45 seconds (give or take), after which they reactivate. The ship would have no guns, mind.

Destructible objective maps would be interesting, would put a different spin on capture the flag.  Instead of just sitting in a spot a team would have to move out and engage an enemy ship.  There would need to be some kind of provision to protect against sniper fire though, like a physical obstacle or just resistance to shatter in general.

Oh god.  The chemical bombers.

If I remember correctly, this was actually one of the game-modes MUSE was interested in making. But that was a very long time ago...

I'd imagine it'll be coming with adventure mode. Missions like that, alongside cargo-runs for towns and such.

It's hard to snipe a ship on a map with clouds and obstacles like canyons, and in DM teams often miss each other. (And we can always make an experiment, if we find 24 members.)

Despite the velocroed buildings I like the Labyrinth map a lot. I'd love more urban themed maps with features that could be used tactically like the dried up river Thames bed in the image above - cutting across the map shrouded in mist allowing covert movements, just wide enough to have battles in (like the central channel in Canyons) and building shells you can enter ie sky scrapers with random floors blown out. Of course all that could be on the Labyrinth map and I just haven't found it yet .

I think it would be cool to fight in a non-destroyed cityscape, or maybe just a small but still inhabited town.

Something like an asteroid field, with big floating islands, really challeging to navigate.

That seems like it would be really awesome.

Also if there was a tropical ocean map with islands, or maybe a stormy northern sea with tall cliff like islands. There could also be storms that appear on both maps as further obstacles.

Are there living cities in the post apocalyptic world? A living steampunk city could be cool.

Are there living cities in the post apocalyptic world? A living steampunk city could be cool.

There are various empires and cities in the world, ranging from small towns to large and elaborate cities and trading hubs. Post-apocalyptically, The Wastes would be an example of a completely dead area, and there are a couple of interesting craters in the southern territories that look like the remains of explosive blasts. Besides that, the whole world is live and kicking.

In terms of Island maps, that would be rather nice to look at, but from a gameplay view they wouldn't work too well- far too open, and you couldn't drop people into the terrain due to the 'landing' mechanic that's present when you hit water.
