The moment when you work perfectly as an engineer with the AI's, and then one of you friends join mid-match and the entire ship goes red from damage.

You're on a squid, and your engineers fix both of the right engines, but leave the left engines destroyed, and you're forced to do your best impression of a one legged duck.

yup.................

That moment when your forward gunner gets tunnel vision on a Goldfish and starts screaming at you to line his shot up again, while he doesn't see the 2 other enemy ships coming in to the sides of the ship

The gatling has finally stripped the hull armor and you're on the flak trying to get the kill in before your own hull is destroyed...

Fuck ghost shots.

Sometimes when all I want to do is turn so my main guns are back in arc, I'll take one buffed rotary.

The wrong rotary.

The wrong rotary will still let you turn where you want by going in reverse.  It won't be as fast as fixing the correct engine, but just turning NOW is often better than waiting an extra second for the engineer to reach the right engine to turn a bit better.

That moment when you fall off the ship as the hull is breaking, but due to flayed lag you fall off the ship while falling off the ship, and then you fall off the ship while falling off the ship while falling off the ship. This happened to me today.

That moment when you're watching a gameplay video and they're playing as an engi and you're practically yelling at the screen every time they walk past a destroyed hull so that they can try to rebuild a gun that isn't even pointing at anything... With a mallet.

I'm pretty sure you still are, but that is an all new level.

I have watched a few lets plays and find the newbie mistakes they make cringe worthy. The best lets play I have found is this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QP4jsZEeSnM
They still make a few newbie mistakes, but for the most part they are a tight effective crew.

I feel like that shows that n00bs can still be very effective if they have mics and are willing to talk with each other.

That moment when your captain's Galleon setup is so bad that your left side flare with lesmok is doing most of the damage to the other team.

As a side note, lesmok flare is deadly and surprisingly accurate at fairly long range.
