Yeah, to be honest I probably dished that one out too early. Actually, I kind of wish I hadn't used it as a title at all -- "aeronaut" is supposed to be a general term to describe everyone who crews an airship, like a sailor, not necessarily a pilot (and a middling one, at that). Oh, well.

Here's some of my suggestions for titles.   I followed the current trend and wanted to tie them to the jobs, not ranks: so as the player levels up, it shows a more prominent title for that job.   My main gripe is with the 'Junior [job], [job], Chief [job]' titles, as most seem a step down from the titles below them.  Let me know what you think.

For Pilots:

With skipper I was considering Aerialist.  I didn't want to sound repetitive and give a feeling of progression, and wasn't sure if it would conflict with Aeronaut.

But in seriousness, I like Zeb's list for the most part. A lot of the names do feel pretty lackluster.

Thanks Zeb for compiling that list and making suggestions that make sense. I still like the title Aeronaut because it sounds like Astronaut and brings with it connotations of experimenting with untested technology in dangerous places. As for the upper echelon pilot ranks I think there should be some leadership connotations like: Wing Leader, Squadron Leader, and Sky Marshal.
