—We've worked with a commercial 3D printer before... we need to redo our 3D assets and see if it works.  It's definitely not cheap so that's why we haven't talked about it.  Will update once we get more info.  They won't be as good looking as that $150 thing for sure, those look hand painted.
UPDATE 6 posted.
Have you looked at Shapeways?

Are you aware of cravats for 3D printing such as non-manifold vertices/edges, have you tried testing your models with nettfabb and/or meshlab?

Saw the notice on Facebook the other day that the KS goal was hit.....I'm still eye-balling that $65 CE package.  I had no doubt that $100k would happen, so I'm crossing my fingers that the stretch goals are hit too.  It's pretty inspiring to see such a high-quality game from a small company like Muse have so much success.  Absolutely looking forward to Adventure~!

If Muse fails to meet the Econo/Political goals of this Kickstarter, will it try another Kickstarter to meet those goals after the AI Director milestones have been released? What percentage of money from game/item sales go into further development (as opposed to maintenance and loan repayment)? I understand a company's financial plans are usually secret and I won't be offended if none of these questions are answered.

I asked that same question and got a "We aren't allowed to talk about that" answer.

It would be unusual to that type of financial data from any small business at a time of financial vulnerability, and one of the advantages of Kickstarter is that you don't have to prove your financial planning or competence to your backers.  I'm not suggesting that Muse lack business acumen, but the banks/VCs wouldn't let you get away with a purely creative business team*.

*everyone on the Muse team sheet is described as a programmer or creative/artist.  Some equal billing for the business-heads would only be fair.. ;)

Has anyone played Pirates of the Spanish Main or NES?  This is what I imagine Adventure Mode resembling. Moving goods, using Letters of Marque, faction relationships, et cetera.
