Intermediate/Advanced Pilot Tips/Tricks: Does this guide exist?
« on: November 16, 2013, 01:48:09 pm »
Hey guys! I was wondering if a guide existed with tips and tricks for advanced pilots. I imagine we've all figured stuff like this out for ourselves (I know I've got nearly 400 pilot games, and others have many more than that), but I felt such a database would be great for mid-level pilots to take a look at, and I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be rehashing old ground by seeking people out, asking them for their thoughts/opinions/insights, and putting something together.

has some good ones, but advanced tricks are best learned by experience.

Last week I put together an extensive in depth guide on pyramidions, a lot of the techniques I use, the timings on tools, and where specifically I try to aim my ship for specific rams. Link is:

GeoRmr seems to be putting together his own guide on more of a ranged pyramidion. The first post is:

I would love to see something like my guide for other ships. I know a lot of things can be learned only by experience, but at the same time a high quality guide gives you a starting point to feel like you can be competitive against higher class pilots. I would love to learn how to really fly a squid, but I know that so much goes in to it, and I haven't been patient enough to suffer the inevitable losses yet.

I think a high level guide would be excellent for each ship... You should get together with a hwacha pilot and make a guide on Goldfish Djinn. You fly a mean blenderfish. Never forget the altitude battle. :D
