It'd be pretty great from a plot perspective if the city was overcome by the invasion.

While I'm tempted, it would end with most (if not all) of us dying and narrating it like a Fallout ending minus the final quote.

It'd be a perfect excuse for ending the thread :P

Ye... no. Kinda hard to make a separate thread continuing all this if all of us are dead.

I hope we win, or at least miraculously escape!

I'll figure out a way to roll with whatever happens for the new thread, or at least the splinter thread.
If you plan on coming back to Burning Skies, that's obvs out of my hands.

And "plasmorabo"? Really Lockheart? XP

Noooooo

Apart from adding some more substance to the plot, why'd you kill yourself off?

I had planned on it when it was announced this would be the finale. It adds a more climactic feel, and I even tried to foreshadow it a bit earlier on.

But no worries, if there is a new thread I fully plan on returning with a new character.

Yeah, your character dying makes it way better. Otherwise we'd have a boring, run-of-the-mill *Bad guy about to kill good guy. Good guy's friend saves him at the last moment. Bad guy dies. Good guy lives happily ever after*

Well props to setting up a way more dramatic ending than just a heroic victory. We've had enough of those, so that's certainly adding more depth to the thread.

...oh right the battle

Despite previously swearing never to come back, I'm enjoing this thread a lot again.

I guess massive aerial battles are just way more fun than silly love stories (in which I never took part).

Because you will die alone, unloved, and as a woman. :P
