Well, I bring sad news. I will be closing down each RP thread. During the break, I came to realize the RP was taking up too much time and effort (which as a law student, I have very little to spare). I will not be removing them, but I will have Zill lock the forums as a remembrance of what we accomplished and a reminder never to do a RP again.

Then I'll just make it official that I found those raiders and killed them. Then found the birdman and kicked his bum. After that I stole the map and found the tech, and became ultimate ruler of the world by reactivating the juggernaut. It's now my personal flying spoon capital/playboy mansion.

On another note, I'm sad to see it go. But I also had a bit of problem keeping up with it since it was the entierly different time-zone.

It was fun while it lasted. but i agree school and trying to keep this up was too much work.

Okay... I lied. The saloon will be up and running again, but sometime in the near future. The quest is dead. Will probably have one in the future, but in the far future.
I will be wrapping up the quest with a long-winded narration which will sum up the quest so those characters can come back.
Until I write the thing, the saloon will be closed.

Some characters have already established a backstory, but this is more about the recent events (not the quest) which have gone by.
How you go on about it is your decision, but nothing to ridiculous (it belongs to me).

I actually had some pretty long posts initially. I posted a lot of my backstory pretty early on. I just can't spend forever typing and formatting on my phone (on which I spend 95% of my forum time). It's just too much of an effort.

Fortunately, this time Spoon opened his eyes, but it was obvious he was still out of it. What happens next could be considered comedy gold.

Oliver found herself interrupted again, but not because Spoon fell back asleep. Quite the opposite, the only reason why Oliver couldn't talk was because he found himself kissing Spoon. This set a whole line of questions and thoughts racing through his mind making him unable to pull away.

So, some quick math. I thought the RP going to be 5 weeks this Saturday, but it's actually going to be 4. Also, some of my initial figures did not include the views from the side quest.
All in all, assuming the total views (as of this moment a little over 5000 combined) stay where there at until Saturday. We get roughly 182 daily views (views are accumulated by one per day per IP).

Well, the quest only has a few days left in it, once a certain organization is dealt with and some other side objectives are completed.
Rough estimate, I'd give the quest another 3 days at least (not including Day 8).

Well in the final battle in Asylum, Joker uses a more refined version of venom serum (which made Bane) on himself and became even more hulking. I thought it was a nice thing to use given the discovery from Izumi.

Okay it seems we're coming to an impasse here. The main issue here are the color schemes.
First, Connor I need you to stop using white/beige because they're the same color and I have a monopoly of beige.
Second, here are the following claimed colors.
Zill = green
BdrLine = yellow
Shink = blue
Paradox = maroon
Roland = orange
Ny-Lee = teal
Jun'ko = pink
Also, there are color which can never be used because they're used to denote any number of random NPCs which will appear at any given point in time.
As far as a solution to the coloring, I will request some of you to use "....." to denote speaking lines. Until the devs decide to put more colors for the forum or make ones which don't work well at all (black) better to use, then get used to using quotes.

Alright as far as opening and closings are concerned, I open around 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. EST (depending on how much work I have in the morning). I close around 12 a.m. - 1 a.m. EST.
As I've stipulated at the beginning of the saloon, there is no posting between closing and opening.
Another thing, when the Merry Northern Storm have a Cogs match, I will post a token opening and closing.

If you really wanted to go crazy we could always develope a simple airship combat system. We have all the numbers to figure out the math for a turn by turn basis of damage and movement.

Is this about the guards? Because I got arrested. Any other situations were needles in the hay stacks. You can't expect everyone to read every wall of text in extreme detail because not a lot of people do this.

Plus that was the only time I did anything with the saloon. Papa would do that shit for breakfast and nobody bats an eye because he leaves in his post before anyone can shoot him.
So when you say I constantly blow up the saloon, and then say that I should respect peoples post, I always respect peoples posts and if I realize I forgot something then I try to fix it, or someone does it before I can. Plus I don't give a flying FUCK if you care about my arcs, I'm trying to have fun. Whenever I have a firefight it's expected and usually nothing else is going on.

Alright, I've come to a realization over the past few weeks. When fall semester of law school starts during the first/second week of August, I'm not going be able to much with it. My prospective schedule with legal work will leave me little time to move the saloon along.
Talking things with Zill, he doesn't want to continue the saloon should I leave (mostly because he's lazy) (mostly because he has a job and whatnot).
So ultimately, I will request the saloon be closed and locked during the first week of August.
Understanding many of you have contributed, or just starting to contribute, I am tempted to leave it open (during the off-chance I might post something).
Alternatively, (as proposed by Plamsarobo to me a while back), a new thread could be started with whatever remaining contributors stay.
That said, I'd like some responses as to whether the saloon should be closed, continued as is, or closed with another thread replacing it.

I mean, I'm working on a personal piece related to Plasma and tangential to Burning Skies, so I think I'll be taking a bit of a break until that's in a place I like.
But if people do want to have an alternate thread (and Zill or someone with more history than I doesn't want to run it) I can help out, even if Plasma doesn't show up.
I think it'd be okay to close the Saloon for a bit.

Well honestly, the burning skies has really evolved from the original concept, which was go the the saloon, have a few rounds, and rp that. Now we have all these arcs, people jumping in, our char's still growing, ect. While Yiski might not be at the forefront, this rp is a living thing that is greater than only one of us.
That said, I think a new thread could be made (Anvala Skies?) using the same format, but Yiski isn't forced to open/close every day, so he can rp more casual, still using the existing burning skies arcs. We could maybe take turns or have a pool for open/close to spread out the effort.

What I propose is a new thread without BS-saloon, but somewhere else (fully in the skies, docks or whatnot) where the roleplay can go on. I think the saloon could still be a place the characters visit, but the amount of roleplay there should be minimized until Yiski's return.
Also, I'd think I could hop on better in a new thread instead of nudging with my elbow to the established Burning Skies -thread, so partly I have my own cow in the ditch. :)

Burning Skies is Yiski, and perhaps scaling back the plot arcs will make the RP a bit more accessible to new folks.

I think that the Saloon's story arc could be brought to an end to give way for another thread, set in the same narrative, but not restricted to the Saloon itself. But one thing's for sure, if the Saloon was to end, it would have to go out with an explosion of awesomeness.

While a good idea, I'm going to be very busy all year long. The only possible time I could even 'manage' the RP would be over my Winter Break which would give roughly 3 weeks of RP. All other times of the year, I'm going to either be working in a legal office or attending classes until 9:30 p.m.
I prefer the idea of a new thread continuing of the saloon.

I had planned on it when it was announced this would be the finale. It adds a more climactic feel, and I even tried to foreshadow it a bit earlier on.
But no worries, if there is a new thread I fully plan on returning with a new character.

Yeah, your character dying makes it way better. Otherwise we'd have a boring, run-of-the-mill *Bad guy about to kill good guy. Good guy's friend saves him at the last moment. Bad guy dies. Good guy lives happily ever after*

Yeah, at first, I thought I'd just make a massive Google doc. Then I realized it would be a pain to try to RP characters which have recently joined and have little feel for.

When I was writing my Epilouge, I was thinking whether or not I should include them as well.
