Although Howard Tsao stated it won't be the official name, it's something in the works currently. Personally I can't quite imagine what the “Magma Weapon” could lead to. Are we talking something similar to the flamethrower or a fireball? Who knows?

That just gave me an idea that would make bringing Chem and Ext viable. Allow Chem to work on an Ext cooldown!

A dedicated fireman might be needed with fire making a comeback and now with this new 'Magma Cannon' ( i know it only says weapon but this sounds way better).

well, gives me an excuse to tease you guys as always with what i'm currently working on. . . obviously, the "magma cannon" is a cannon made of hot liquid magma. . . that can only be used if someone chem sprays it before hand

Based on the leaked damage stats last month it'll be worth it (you know what I'm talking about anyone that kept a close eye on the weapon spreadsheet).

Yes, but with a hefty amount of fire damage.  If one were to assume it was a rapid fire weapon (which the damage numbers indicated could be possible) then it would brutalize heavily: balloons, armor and permahull making a weapon that could single handedly make a kill on it's own while also destroying the balloon.  Almost like a super carronade with incendiary rounds.
