Map scales

Has anyone figured out the scales of the different maps?  Pretty much everyone knows that one square in Dunes is 1km, but what about the other maps?

This leads me to a suggestion -- maybe have it so one square always equals 1km, but scale the sizes of the squares to correlate with the map sizes.  The squares seem fairly useless as a tool if they don't correlate with real numbers in any meaningful way.

Yes, a public guide for map scales would be neat. I suspect most clans know already, they just don't always share.

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, I just haven't found time or enough willing people to help. The one thing to be careful of is to make sure you're at the same level as the ship you're range finding, otherwise you'll be measuring a longer distance, because math. Staying at max ceiling height should make sure both ships are level.
