Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Double XP Weekend?

The fastest way to level is to win games, which promotes teamwork.

I liked having the ammocount font bold and readable without squinting. I also liked it when stamina was in the corner and not in my face all the time.

I think velvet's idea is best.

Yeah at this scale we're going to have to play eve (slow) or wait for star citizen (even slower)

IMO lesmok is not viable on two-shot weapons like heavy flak or merc or carronade. Losing half your clipsize hurts too much.

I would say rangefinder is guesswork too, ships drift as you measure..

You can work out one ship's size using burst radii of various weapons to measure distance between components, and then use the chart to compare. Or you could email muse and simply ask like any sane person would.

Gameplay / Re: Airship advice

Squids are hard to kill because if you just try to kill them without disabling, they will outmaneuver you, junkers are like that too. It's kind of the opposite of a pyramidion, if you try to flat out kill it pyra crumbles easily, but it's hard to disable.

also why are we "putting" random "words" in quotation marks?

I hate to be that guy (again) but, people please refrain from personal attacks. I have come to expect jerkishness from max but the others can do better :\

What sara said a few posts ago. If you really want to compare skill metrics of various players vs each other and various other games vs goio make another thread, or take it to PMs.

re: op. My favorite idea on the OP is the idea of various ship tutorials. It would be amazing to have an advanced tutorial through every ship that demonstrates each one's flight envelope and also compares it to other ships' envelopes. One with literal virtual hoops to fly through. Another game that has this hoop-flying tutorial is altitude, really amazing game I used to play a lot before I found goio http://store.steampowered.com/app/41300/ The ship-specific tutorials could even demonstrate repair circuits!

p.s. re:op 1.4 kosher conduct. we do have a code of conduct (community standards) but not gameplay related. It would be fun to make a thread with various goio etiquette things.

I would agree, adding a dedicated ramming damage bonus is a good idea.

In terms of pace goio might be a smaller version of arma? I haven't played arma but I've seen a few videos. But it seems fairly popular..

Gilder be nice to clueless noobs please. I am politely asking not demanding. The didn't even say anything about lobby wait times.

re:op I am with blackened on this one. I love esports and competition and think the game most needs better support for refereeing and a replay system, and then more content for PvP like new maps or game-modes. It would be so awesome to implement that. Adventure/co-op is kinda cool but not nearly as awesome as pvp- mindless drones simply are not interesting as opponents compared to other players. If the game had builtin demo recording, casting would get much better and competitions would get much better.

General Discussion / Re: So, about the dev matches...
« on: June 20, 2015, 07:40:15 pm »
Dev matches aren't only for you, muse wants to have fun by flying together, gods know they work quite hard on this game so they deserve a break once in a while :)

They don't play often however and they are pretty terrible at it (no offense), so it's usually not hard to win unless you have troll teammates.

re:luck and getting stuck with trolls. You just have to be quick about it. Get a ship or three of nice people together, then tell muse the situation and ask for lobby password in advance. I'm sure they'll accommodate. In a pinch you don't even need full crews, 3 nice people should suffice to cover the pilot slots and secure most of a win right there.
