It's the game's crappy codec, it's why you should always use your own Teamspeak channel even if the game has great voice chat support.

True facts: our game uses the Steam API for voice chat. It is identical to the one used in TF2, which, for the record, is Skype's SILK codec.

You're welcome.

So what developer is in charge of Quack Management, Applehack?

There's some serious questions out there and we demand answers!

Quack quack quackquackquack. Quack quack? Quaquaquaquack!

Qua-quack?????? Quack quack! Quack.

Perhaps they should deliver patch notes in this language to appeal to a broader audience.

It's an intended feature to increase immersion into the game.

Duckish is the official tongue of Icarus.

The Lounge / Re: Silly Ideas That Would Break the Game

A weapon that fires ICBM's at a rate of 10 per minute. Mushroom clouds included. Automatically added to a ship after a kill streak of 3.

As the scenery would be destroyed, instead it would play a video clip from Justin Bieber as death screen. Of course with goggles added to his eyes.

Love it. I remember playing with this one fellow who just stood behind me all match. I quickly extinquished the balloon and spotted him, I assumed it was a bug until he looked right at me. I think during the discussion of getting him to go and do something else, I came up with a few more words in the english language. :p

Christ those are some awesome costumes. It's nice to see people dressed up Steampunk-ish, instead of like Anime characters, for a change!

One question, why does nobody seem to have goggles? Just buy some old blowtorch goggles and add a leather strap over it or something, I imagine it would look quite amazing.

World / Re: What faction will you fight for?
« on: April 10, 2013, 11:15:25 am »
I think i'll fight for the Anglean Republic. I love snow and would love to spend my time in a winter wonderland. Further, it's a corner and I love corners.

In the end though, i'll probably end up joining the underdog.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Static component status indicators
« on: April 10, 2013, 11:06:23 am »
I am not sure about this, while part of me finds this very interesting, another part of me thinks this could take away from the "real" feeling of ships. As in, when I pilot a ship, I feel like it's an actual ship, moving and responding, "alive" as you will. I think adding such things would make it feel more like a game to me, making me lose immersion and connection to the game itself.

I would personally not like this I think, but if it's a toggle-able option many players desire, I have nothing to say but "Why Not".

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Adventure Mode Boss Ships
« on: April 10, 2013, 11:02:22 am »
I would like these boss ships to basically sail around, a bit like famous pirate ships such as the Flying Dutchman or Queen Anne's Revenge, that when found will attack any ships it can see. When it wins the battle, it would fly up really high in the clouds again for the next suspecting victim. I would then like, when they are spotted, for groups to team up and try to intercept them and kill them for massive amounts of loot. Further, I would like there to be boss ships defending a faction's basic home.

That's my personal hope and desire. :)

Backed it. I would love to have an MMO based on this. :)
