The Mann:
Over the past year, I have seen quite a few posts on the forums asking for methods of having multiple clans.
Recently, I retired from The Bards and joined The Cakes but I still want to be associated with The Bards.
 
So. What if we picture Clans in the same way as Titles.

you get a dropdown menu on your profile which allows you to change between your most regular clans.

For example,

* I can change to The Bards when playing with The Bardsand

* I can change to The Cakes when playing with The Cakes

If such a system can be implemented, I feel many players may be interested in it.   

* During competitive matches, subs can temporarily join the clan they are assisting. 
* It would relieve stress from clans who are mourning the loss of their clan members. And allows clan members who are leaving to remain in between.
* The toggle tag system may also be beneficial for those who are clanless CA / mods. We can have special tags for those roles including Streamer and Teacher.
* Example  [Streamer] Sir Steffen.
* Example [Teacher] Rowho
* Example [Mod] The Mann

This would add to the proliferation of pointless low membership joke clans massively.

So of course I'm all in favor of it  :D

I would have used this when I defected from my last 2 clans if it had existed.

Meh...

Clans are about identity and association. Whether its a comp team, gimmick or style.

Many schools of Icarus playing is associated with a clan. e.g. the clan for being garbage is grox.

Heck many players are the very faces of their clan. To mix would muddle up that identity, if not outright make  the concept of clans kinda moot.

But hey I guess a middle ground would be the ability to give honourary status to people already belonging to another clan.
