America is the current world hegemon in state of shitting in their pants because of a new cold war, this time against China. President elections in the States affect literally ALL the world because it's build on the basis of western hegemony and for a while on american hegemony specifically.
You yourself mention president putting nation in debt which has effect on all America's more-or-less allies, so most of the western first world countries. I get your point, that american president cannot affect you in an immediate way, but american president affects geopolitics and geopolitics affect us all sooner or later.
