The opening of the last movie had some interesting stuff in the beginning of what it is like to be part of a generation that has only known war, and that had inherited the desolation brought by a conflict started by the last generation. Then cool dad Solo showed up and we are playing fast and loose with stupid odds again. I am almost hoping Luke Skywalker turned evil and is secretly Snoke just so the younger cast has a villain to be properly afraid of.

Does Mark Hamill play a better hero of villain?

Can't really say he did a great Joker and is always Luke in my eyes.

Since it is the second movie of a Star Wars trilogy, who will get their hand sliced off?

As the protagonist, Rey is the most likely candidate.

Will Kylo Ren remain a villian that amounts to nothing more than an edgy, spoiled brat with Daddy issues?

Given that Kylo is handsome and has familial ties to loved characters he is most likely going to be the candidate of a redemption arc. Also the original Star Wars trilogy was built around a rebellious son redeeming an oppressive father from a structured and militaristic organization in order to appeal to the baby boomer and their world view regarding their parents. So the new trilogy may attempt to flip things around and have the parents and "good kids" redeem a son who has been led astray by interplanetary terrorists, because pop culture is still catering to the baby boomer generation.

Will Rey end up wielding a light saber like a sword or attach it to her staff and use it more like a spear?

Probably traditional sword; Saberstaffs like Maul are the only non-traditional Light weapon that's likely to show up because people would complain most likely.

What are your hopes for Finn's character arc?  I hope he becomes something like Han Solo.  Not a carbon copy, distinctly different, but attempts to emulate at first before branching into his own path.

It seems right now he exists to enable Rey's "orphan jedi protag master of all trades bullshit"

Eh, I personally found the character to be quite lacking.  If by his death good tension can be created, then I want him offed.

Is episode 8 going to just be episode 5 rehashed?

No, for the pit makes all necromancy easy.

If you had a spacesuit that supplied you with all the bodily functions you needed for survival on the moon, and you were stuck on the moon with no supplies, what would you do? If you would try to escape, how would you do it?

Easy, I would use my suit, which provides me sustenance, to walk around the surface until I find a Spaceship.
Then I will destroy it and makeshift an SOS.
Then, I will steal that sweet Moon Buggy sat up there and drive around until I find that recent Japanese Or Chinese Moon Robot they sent and crashed. I will then repair it using spaceship parts and make them send help.
Then, freedom.

Do you try reading the Chinese found on Chinese fast food menu's?

Not unless Muse puts a lot more work into than they're doing now.
