Well, they had a lore person that started to write stuff a lot of time ago. But then they left after a while and after a bunch of written lore, now Eric is the one semi in charge of lore. So you can tell why the lore department is in such a pain, if one person wrote stuff and didn't finish and now it is under a different person...

My memory is earthquake levels of shaky. But the story I remember is that some guy from some Faction designed the mobula for some rich and/or Highborn person who wanted to see the stars from the deck of his ship.

Junker is Arashi, but not really a "formal" design.

Squid is Chaladon.

Mobula is Guild.

Mobula is "designed" for guild by an outside party but since it is owned by guild you could say it's Guild.
