It may be extremely complex and just an insight but The Elder Scrolls.

In the Elder Scrolls games such as Skyrim and Oblivion, you can adjust all facial features and body shape.

Perhaps instead of species such as Nord, Argonian, Khajiit and Elf. There are the different factions. and you can change facial features. (the bodies can remain how they would in simulation for example, Anglians, possibly large and bulky to remain warm in cold climates.)

problem with body adjustments is that you'd need to modify every piece of clothing to avoid any clipping.

I say just faces is a good start to end the clone wars

I never intended it as a suggestion, more of a "take a look at this" sort of approach.

But back to the subject, facial changes are a very good idea.

Personally, I never see my character because I play first person perspective, so it's not relevant to me.
That said, might as well add this for the people who wants it.
