If the intention of the thread is solely to complain about the Minotaur, I guess there is little value in discussing how to beat it.

When the minotaur was first released it was amazingly overpowered. They did some big scale backs to where it is now. Initially decried at being too big a nerf I am seeing the gun used more and more often to great affect.

You are definitely right that it can completely dominate a galleon if given the chance. The main balance of the mino is its difficult to use (invisible slow shot). Galleon being slow and fat though negates this. I am unsure if I'd call it completely unbalanced or even hard counter, but it definitely does work as a counter to the Galleon. There is merit to this conversation, but love of God, watch the high horse.

BTW, it certainly aint useless against Junkers and Mobulas.

I agree with Zanc...
I also think the original poster should return to Call of duty and play games that don't make him.cry when one of the least effective guns in the game makes him cry like a baby.

Umm...you do know you have pilots tools to counter these right?

Mino is annoying but extremely easy to counter. The original version was much better but people bitched and got it nerfed. Now no one uses it cept people who don't know better.

Short answer is proper use of pilot tools...long answer is pilot tools +"awareness man!" Don't put yourself in a galleon broadside!! I tell this time and time again to new players every sale...learn the firing arcs and don't sit in galleon broadsides but 9/10 they still fly up and sit there as if the galleon crew is going to wave hi and throw them flowers.

*snip* ...as if the galleon crew is going to wave hi and throw them flowers.

Though that would be kinda nice for once.

Well I would politely explain that moonshine and kerosene are an effective counter to the minotaur. The mino does very little actual damage, its main virtue is inducing ship rotation, since kero and shine increase angular drag if you pulse them as you are being shot you can resist the weapons only significant deleterious effect. The mino is widely considered underpowered by most of the vet community.

I would put things this way, but instead I'm going to channel my inner Ceresbane because the OP is an ass. So listen skippy, we cant answer your question unless you use words people can understand. Your inability to communicate isn't a reflection of anyone's capabilities other than you own. Capabilities that have been found severely wanting. Your piloting abilities are clearly not up to snuff either. If you are so skilled why the hell was your first thought not to counter this with moonshine or kero? All the top tier pilots worked out how to counter that thing the week it came out.

But let's be honest, you didn't start this thread because you genuinely want to know how to counter the mino. If you did you wouldn't refer to the correct terminology for the weapons in the game as the 'nerd' names. You aren't actually intellectually curious, and lets be honest, that isn't specific to GoI, but is a universal attribute of yours. You didn't even start this thread to complain about how it is OP. You started this thread because you don't know how to properly process your anger, probably a results of childhood trauma, possibly ongoing, and you wanted your anger validated. Those close to you haven't taught you how to be a decent, reasonable human being who shows others respect, likely because they aren't themselves, and so you lash out at others. If your actions weren't detrimental to those around you it would be sad, almost tragic. As it is it is simply pathetic.

To be perfectly honest, I thought the OP was talking about the Banshee when I first read the title. The Banshee can seem overpowered against Galleons to the inexperienced due to its arcs and fire ability.

Also, my LeMoon senses are tingling. I think a lock is near.

Slow clap and salute. I didn't know if he meant a gun that spins, the gatling, or the gun that spins you, the minotaur.

Ok. I'll do some testing with the angular drag boost options. Thanks for the tip.

I tend to think it's very poorly balanced just like most of muses fail design process.

tl:dr. look nerd. I have the utmost respect for failed social science majors like yourself but when you type that many words you've already lost.

You went from almost nice...

To straight-up rude.

You let your emotions control your speech, sir.

We don't appreciate being insulted as 'nerds.'

Heck, I prefer being my usual jolly self.

However, I'm tempted to round up everyone on this thread and send a couple of Minofish, Minospires, and dual Minotaur Galleon broadsides in your general direction.
