What do you do to pass the time in MM?

On average I spend 25 minutes in matchmaker per match. I've come up with a lot of things to do while waiting, but I'd love to hear what others do!

I'll start; I like to start a civ 5 game because it's not real time so I can stop whenever I want, plus it's relaxing to play in between games. One time I got to turn 48 before being match made.

I do maths mostly- got a lovely old book from the 60's, takes a bit of work to understand what's going on sometimes but on the whole it's really good.
Also read the forums.
And snapchat my girlfriend.

When I'm in MM, I go over my ship and character load outs.

But I only play (recently) on fridays, saturdays, and sundays during American prime time (afternoon). So, I'm usually not stuck on MM.

I am 34 and a programmer. Being able to run the debugger in one screen and see a full screen application in the other is very useful. If it makes you feel any better I haven't upgraded my computer in years and I have to run GOI at 1024x768 to have any sort of decent frame rate. I like programming on an older computer because it shows inefficient code faster. Assuming your clients will all have the latest generation of technology is for cowards.

Make a custom game then fill from queue. Sometimes it fills enough to start a match cause people see me willing to fly with AI and think I'm an easy kill. That doesn't last long tho, heh.

But then I've been in that lobby sitting for over 30 mins before MM finally tossed people in. Overall, I've noticed players over lvl 20 are extremely rare, at least when I'm on. Think the only consistent high level I've seen has been Aayra. Everyone else, sub 50 match players with terrible builds. Course thats fine by me as I usually fly with all AI and if they had competent builds I'd then have to work harder .
