When I first started flying I would hold down the "W" key to go forward and ended up changing altitude without wanting to. Many times I will spend 10 minutes getting my crew to take the exact equipment I need for a certain build only to forget to bring the correct pilot tools for that ship.

The altitude thing is a common sorrow for all novice pilots, moreso for pyras with their slow verticals :c

Also, I still do that aswell. Switching from ram pyra to squid and realizing you didnt take moonshine off when the game starts is NOT fun.

By not fun I mean like, moonshine-into-galleons-and-barely-stop-yourself-only-to-moonshine-a-bit-too-backwards-rinse-and-repeat  not fun. Seriously vets, try it, it's horrifying

Also, I used to refer Phoenix Claw as the "lucky talisman", dont ask me why.

I'm pretty sure getting confused and pressing W to go forward when you're new is common. I did that, and so did my friend who I recently bought the game for.

Although I did try to use Phoenix Claw as a type of Kerosene/Moonshine

In one SCS I accidently forgot to change my loadout and took a drogue chute instead of hydro, whoops.

For my first 2500+ matches I had no idea you could click and hold hwatcha to shoot

An ally ship once had a gunner who shot the Gatling gun in "controlled bursts" while using heavy.
Maybe I was you! ;)

My first time shooting the Hwacha, I thought I killed the enemy when he went out of sight...
Going by the pilots voice chat it turns out I missed almost every shot..... #longrangenoheavy although I only did it once! (No ones let me near their guns since ;) )

I've forgot hydrogen on, balloon kept dying. I yelled at my crew.
We fell and killed our ally (squid)...

...I also killed myself once, on my double mortar pyra.Wanted to ram a spire with no armour on, and about 10% hp left.
Armour went back up. I had no armour. We dieded.

Came back to my first match perhaps within over a month or so. I screwed up the entire match due to the fact I didn't realize my mouse sensitivity was set to zero, then it was set to max, and then I leveled it out. Amidst the lag of Paritan Rumble, we tried, but the pyra nerf is too great, we died and lost in that match.

(On the upside, we had a 4v4 DM and actually won that with a metamidion (despite my initial thoughts of it being dead from the hull nerf).)

As a young and intoxicated pilot of a hwatcha fish on fjords, I think it was junker fish vs junker fish. I went in and took heavy fire, I was like screw that and started flying away and down. My crew said go back in! and an engi told me to let him fly. I turned into a wrench pilot engi and somehow our ally managed to survive that whole time. Ended up getting condemnations from every captain.

The other day I instinctively mined an ally with our rear squid gun. It wasn't even on purpose, I swear, I just subconsciously migrated to it and hit our level 6 ally mobula. Whoops >_<

I pressed S hard while in a squid against a blender fish... Instead of D on a buffed balloon...

For the first 5 levels in the old levelling system. I insisted that the mallet was terrible. And pipe wrench was the master race (I thought pipe had better repair/seconds) ahh being a noob.

When I was first an engineer I stopped moving in games.

Oh,oh! I have another.

Back when I was a novice I was sooo scared of bullet and projectile physics that I thought all guns were hard as hell to shoot

As a result, I ended up maining Lesmok and loading it into everything. Including gat, flak, mercury and carronade.

I see only one weapon Lesmok would not be a reasonable choice for :p

My un-brag:

I lost against Storm Ryders and bragged about it... ???
