Separate key bindings
« on: February 04, 2015, 03:02:26 pm »
I recently tried to remap my keys for using tools as engineer (to include extra mouse buttons). I realized that this also changed my ammo keys. Not a big problem until I realized it was the same for pilot, which rendered the bindings broken (my two side buttons are throttle, Q is spot).

I propose an option to separate different functions instead of having 1 2 3 4 the same for everything.

>I have push to talk bound to left shift
>In the latest devapp left shift activates stamina
>Devapp and main game read values from the same windows registry keys
>Push to talk has been unbound in the main game
>Go to rebind push to talk
>Accidentaly click twice
>Push to talk bound to mouse 0
>Shooting the guns, now unbound
>Repair, now unbound
>Spyglass, now unbound
>Helmtools (tar), now unbound
>ramcam now, unbound
>start a game

Why muse, why do you have no confirmation or warnings?

This has happened to me at least 3 times.

One of these buttons you will blame for existing when accidentally pressing them.

I've noticed this issue before too, I have two profiles on my mouse, one for piloting/gunning and one for engineering so the spyglass is on the same button for gunning and engineering.
