Pretty much what I wanted to say and didn't say.

Armor plates should be an option to replace only certain guns.

Otherwise, certainty of trolls and utter ridiculousness. And armor plates would have to be modeled for all over the place (there are thirty gun locations in current GOIO).

Actually, I was worried that the armor plates wouldn't take away from firepower enough. Because you almost never get much more than a trifecta on most situations. Losing a light gun isn't a great plight. There's always more guns than gunners anyways.

Nah, have a gat on top so you can ram.

The only ship this loadout can kill is mobula or unlucky squid XD

Or that one Spire, XD

Or fully armored junker XD
In all seriousness, there should be a limit to plates addable, and they should probably make everything slower...

Limiting armor plates would be good idea, but they arent in the game yet (or ever?) so i think we are thinking too far.

Sounds reasonable, but how about guns that are better armored that normal ones? but are slower and have less ammo? (or someting among those lines)

Like little bit more customisable guns, they dont need any visual changes but stat changes.

Tower shield: for reflecting all pesky shots coming your way

Customization still should be unique compared to the ammo types. (muse was planning some differend abilitys per guns in adventure/co-op like)

Well if gun damage would be swappable, we propably would see more mercs (full on armor piercing)

We have no idea.  A good idea would be to ask in the next fireside chat.

Kinda random place to ask about that but yes. there was info about it: its medium range gun (about 450m) and its shots push ships (just like mines), also its armor piercing weapon and heavy gun.

not much els is known about it.

Of cource i would be interested to hear how is its delopment. (and when is the year starter update coming)

Well this post is about my ideas for future ships and guns.

As for the bean bag weapon its deloper designed and in the works and there are some posts about it (propably not in the feedback or suggestions).

i have new idea for a ship (art and stats coming later)

Its rammer ship, with 1 front gun, 1 gun in starbord and port side, and 2 guns at the back. it also has 4 balloon and 4 engines.

low armor good health and speed.

looks bit like plane.

Lionfish v1

(v1 because i will make 3D model in some day if i can)

Extreamly fast ship that is that is good rammer.

- Ship has 1 forward facing guns and 2 guns poited to sides but can with right weapons aim to front.
- Ship also has 2 guns facing back of the ship, making hit and run valuable.
- There are total 4 balloons in the ship, under, over and sides of the ship.
- Ship has 2 heavy engines and 2 turning engines, turning engines are on the side wings and heavy engines are top and bottom of the middle wings.
- Middle wings have ladders that lead to heavy engines.
- Capten will have some issues to look behind the ship.
- Ship is only slightly bigger that squid.

Stats:

- Hull 600
- Armor 450
- mass 150.000kg
- max speed 45.00 m/s
- max turn speed 13.00 deg/s
- acceleration speed 4.00 m/s²

- 2 light engines
- 2 heavy engines
- 5 light guns
- 4 balloons
