Rebuild Speed is still faster when spamming left click!

<< < (2/3) > >>

Heh, good thing I set my left click to turbo. It also happens to almost exactly match the rate of fire of a gatling (12.5 per second I believe).

pandatopia:
Heyo, I noticed a few things.

1. On a low end machine, while holding click it is very erratic. The timings don't seem to be matching the animations, and the animations stutter. Please consider decoupling the animation with the actual effect.

2. The animation tends to start very slowly, doing the hits as slow as before, and after 1-3 hits starts being fast.

3. I did notice that when it goes fast, it is noticeably faster than before, so thats at least an improvement.

4. I would very much like a solution to spam clicking...I really dislike spam clicking. I'd also like all guns to be automatic but that's another discussion.

I'll have to agree with you there. You sorta need to spam click to rebuild optimally and if you're not using a macro or have a turbo set-up your fingers are gonna get sore after awhile from all that clicking. This problem also happens to apply to guns which fires on click instead of auto but panda is right, that's a problem for later.

Hoja Lateralus:
On last Fireside Chat Howard confirmed that this bug is fixed in DevApp.

Extirminator:
I just now remembered I have some numbers here from holding down the repair and from spamming it, thought I'll share.
(done with recordings and frame counting + good averages)

spamming - 0.77s
holding - 0.842s

9.35% slower to use holding.

Might not be a lot, but I think that a lot of people already got used to spamming it(me for example), and thus, will not get used to a new way that makes the repairs slower.

The 9.35% slower rate is multiplied in extreme cases and can cause even a 1.5-2 seconds delay, which, for everyone who have been playing the game a lot, we can say that sometimes those 2 seconds are the deciding factor on if you live or die.
