Steam Punk HandGuns and medics (Suggestion)
« on: May 18, 2014, 12:55:04 pm »
Adding Steampunk Themed Guns Based on flintlocks muskets etc as well as health bars on players could also create a new role for a crew a medic to heal damaged crew members.   a skilled sharpshooter using the guns could take out pilots trying to steer and gunners slowing down the rate on which your opponent fires upon you this would make the battle experience much more interesting also old players who want a new beginning as a class they have never played would most lightly be keen to try the medic out.

PS: If needed muse could also add armour in cosmetic to protect from bullets.

This game is meant for ship vs ship, not crew vs crew. Sorry, your suggest just won't happen.

As Imagine has clarified, anti-personnel weapons are incredibly unlikely to make an appearance in Skirmish Mode GoIO. The concept might be more realistic, but it also more realistically simulates real gun violence which is something that Muse don't really want to promote in their (sort of) PG-13 game.

While I could envision a flintlock as a gunner tool for damaging components on the enemy ship, using them against other players is almost certainly a no-no. :D

With every steam sale we get another hand-to-hand combat or boarding or personal handguns thread, however none of this will ever happen for good reason, Muse has said that boarding or killing individual players is against there vision of a tactical game that's main gameplay is based on blimps fighting each other.

So we will never see any of this mainly because most people don't want it (where is the fun in a pilot doing a crazy maneuver only to be killed by 1 guy spraying a gatling, and if there is no medic than the pilot "dies")
